Great Hotel right by the Louvre

Posted Sep 17, 2017
I come to Paris 2X a year for the Maison Objet trade show. I have been looking for a nice hotel near a RER blue station I highly recommend L'Empire. The staff is great , the rooms are very nice and it is in a fun neighborhood with good bistros. Walkable to many major sites: the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Marias

Cool trendy hotel in great location

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Staff! Modern accommodations in an historic area. Size of the room. Breakfast. Location.
Cons: Directions on the phone. I didn't spend much time trying to figure it out since I had a phone, but upon initial attempts, I wasn't successful.
Location: Restaurants. Louvre. Notre Dame. Hop on hop off bus (Louvre or Notre Dame pick-up). Subway. Shopping.
I initially selected the hotel because it was in a central location to things we wanted to see and it was a modern hotel with an elevator, etc. They did not disappoint. This was the last leg of our journey and the experience was fantastic. The hotel is trendy, rooms are large, bathroom is large with full amenities including a large tub, bed and pillows are comfortable, and as three females (ages 21-60), we felt safe walking around the area. The place was spotless (room and hotel). The staff was fantastic. They actually took us to our room at check-in to explain the features (including a portable phone we could use out and about or to call the US if we wanted to). The breakfast was the best we had throughout our 2 week travel experience--food and service! The staff was helpful in directing us to places in town and in getting us a very last minute ride to the airport when our flights were changed at the last minute. I left my wedding ring as we left in a huge hurry. I called, they retrieved it from my room, and were waiting for me when I had the cab turn around to come back. I was sorry we had to miss our breakfast that day due to the schedule change. The hotel is near the Louvre and Notre Dame, although a bit of a walk. The subway is a few blocks away. There are many restaurants around, my favorite being one block down (as you turn right out of the front door) called Restaurant L'Auberge du Louvre. Uber rides were easy to and from here and fairly inexpensive.

Great business hotel.

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Very well appointed room, FREE Android phone with calls and data, and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: 5-minute walk to the Louvre, Les Halles (shopping), local trains, subway, and buses. Also near restaurants and about 5 casual wine type bars.
Near transportation and many restaurants. Small room, but very well decorated and maintained. Had everything I needed including large screen TV, WiFi (high-speed), refrigerator, and comfortable bed. They even provided an Android phone with full features...plus FREE calls to the U.S. and Europe...plus FREE data. The hotel staff was so pleasant, it was hard to believe I was in Paris. You could stay at a big-name hotel nearby, not have the free phone, not have a room this nice, and not have a friendly staff for only a few hundred Euros more per night.

The hotel was ok but for the price that we paid not worth it. The TV did not work and the hairdryer did not work either. The toilet was not clean also. I will not stay there next time i visit Paris

Excellent first visit to Paris

Posted Jun 11, 2017 on Hotels
Perfect spot for our first visit to Paris. The staff was beyond friendly, spoke excellent English, offered great ideas for exploring the area and was located near wonderful cafes and shopping. Our walk to the metropolitan was short and taxis were quickly available when needed. The Louvre, Siene River tours and Norte Dame were a 10 minute stroll. We also walked to many other attractions and spent a day visiting site from the On Off Bus which was also a short walk from the hotel. Our room and bathroom was large! The room had a nice large window that opened out on the street below. The room also offered a free cell phone for use while in town. Free phone calls to the US.....nice touch! There was a room fridge for storing the bottles of wines and beer we bought from the nearby markets. The customer service offered was personal, swift and went beyond our expectations! We were used to staying in large 4 and 5 star properties while traveling. It was challenging to know if the smaller boutique hotels of Paris would meet our expectations. With L'Empire - we struck gold!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The ladies at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful and very welcoming. They were helpful thought out our stay and especially as we had an infant with us. The rooms are decent size with clean comfortable beds. The hotel is very clean. Great location. Close to train station. We would highly recommend.
