Hotel Excelsior mal vybornu polohu, hned pri mori so sukromnou plazou pre hotelovych hosti. Ubytovanie a cistota izby bola vynikajuca. Voda v mori sice bola este trochu studena, ale velkou vyhodou je interny bazen s vyhrievanou morskou slanou vodou. Vynikajuci je aj wellness. Skoda ze este nefungoval externy bazen, ktory prave rekonstruovali. Strava bola vynikajuca s dostatocne velkym vyberom. Vyborne boli aj volnocasove aktivity v hoteli - stolny tenis, biliard a rucny futbal.

Great location and love the amenities, we enjoyed the indoor swimming on really hot afternoons with our kids. The children’s club is also a main reason for our return each year. They kids club staff are multi lingual and put in an amazing effort and our kids love being there. I personally enjoyed the odd game or competition held between guests. Thank you Remi kids club for making our holidays great.

Location of the property is fantastic, close to the beach and beautiful Lungomare walkway as well as lovely town center, shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, beaches in Lovran are terrible so we had to drive to Medveja every day. Although hotel is old and built in communist style, it's interior is refurbished and it's actually very nice and modern which couldn't be said for the exterior, especially the pool. There is a lot of other amenities, we especially liked kids play area and the girl working there - she was very enthusiastic, just perfect with kids. Rooms are nice, spacious, clean and modern. Bathroom and balcony were not refurbished to the same standard unfortunately. Restaurant is very nice and spacious with large selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Food quality is satisfying, but could be better. Staff is very polite and hard working and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We didn't use their parking because I read bad reviews about it, but there is a lot of free parking near the hotel so it wasn't a problem at all. We had a lovely stay for more than a reasonable price, definitely recommendable.

Can only judge for early May Friendly staff very informative, good service. Clean room and bathroom, balcony had no bird droppings. Twin beds were sturdy but a bit narrow. Arms fall over the edge while sleeping. Dinner and breakfast buffet plenty of food, different dishes very good and delicious. Lovely music in the evening for dancing and listening.

Lovran in May
Went early season so hotel was lovely and quiet. Had the indoor pool mainly to ourselves, the spa treatments where very good, although the steam room was out of order, which was a shame. Weather for May was a little changeable but the surrounding area was beautiful and the view from the hotel was amazing.

Wonderful quiet seaside hotel
A nicely updated 80s hotel. The location is very quiet and a short walk to the center of Lovran with nice restaurants and cafes. The garage is an adventure to get out of, a very steep curved ramp (one lane but two way) and we were almost hit at the top by one of the delivery vans backing out, if you are not good at restarting from a stop on a hill, take the spaces near the front door above-much easier. The food was variable but mostly good, as one might expect for a large buffet with lots to choose from. The staff was helpful. If you don't like standing in a tub to shower, bring a mat since it is a bit slick. Beds were good. Staff was nicely attentive but not solicitous-a style we like a lot. Indoor pool is great when the sea is cold. Bands in the bar can be a bit noisy, but fortunately were not there too late. We will definitely return.

Disappointing
Many parts of hotel are tired and outside needs maintainance, carpet in room well worn. Redeeming feature was a very nice spa area with saunas, indoor pool and relaxing cool room. Note to self is to avoid hotels that allow dogs and/or offer full or half board. Always full of family groups in budget all in one packages. Not happy that I travelled from other side of world, hired a car to explore area for two months and then get charged for parking. Told them if they come and visit me in Australia, they can park for free. Lots of extra charges - in room info sheets were all about charges and rules.

Nice hotel. A bit old and need renovation. We stayed there for only one night just to get a sleep on the way and it was fine for that purpose. The sea view rooms cost more (info that is not available on the web site). Parking at the hotel parking space cost significantly extra. One can expect to have a free parking space included in the price. Luckily, the free parking across the road had some free spaces.

A midsized hotel located in a beautiful seaside village. This hotel seems to have it all. Pool, Swimming Cove, Spa, Restaurants. However for us the service was lacking. They seem to cater to an all inclusive Soviet Era Crowd. No personal service or service with a smile. They scheduled a late 1 hour.massage for my wife. When she showed up at the time allotted a visibly annoyed clerk informed her that the spa was closing in ten minutes. This was typical of the wait staff service at the bars and restaurants as well. This was not the service we received anywhere else in the town of Lovran or any of the other locations we visited in Croatia during our 8 day Croatian Adriatic trip. We loved the trip and the town but not the Hotel.

In LaLove with Lovran .. BEST HOTEL PERIOD!
Absolutely hands down the best hotel in the area. Stay in Lovran over surrounding cities and you can walk everywhere. This place is the most charming city and hotel I have been too in this region. The service is second to none. Everyone speaks English and many other languages so don't fret is you are not bilingual. What a great place to just settle in with the locals. CHARMING CHARMING CHARMING.. you will NEVER want to leave.

The hotel and the service was really nice. The breakfast and the dinner were delicious. We enjoyed our visit. Just a small problem was the room, it was clean but old and we weren‘t able to open the window, it was locked. The best wishes from us!

Prima hotel met goede uitzicht op zee. Onder onze kamer werd er een Kroatische bruiloft gegeven tot 4u s'morgens met zeer luide muziek. Hier wordt alleen gedacht aan extra omzet en geen rekening gehouden met de gasten. In het hele hotel was dit hoorbaar. Bij navraag werd ons verteld dat hier regelmatig dit soort feesten gegeven worden.

Sehr schöner Urlaub mit tollem Hotel und super Service. Allerdings nur während es nicht so voll war. Am Wochenende und Anfang der Ferien zu wenig Liegen am Pool und Strand. Auch beim Essen Kapazitätsmängel. Strand und Umgebung nur bedingt für Gehbehinderte geeignet. Überall sind Treppen, die für Rollstuhlfahrer und auch Kinderwagen nur mit Hilfe überwindbar sind. An den Strand bzw. die Plattform zum Meer kommt man nur über Treppen. Das Meer ist wunderschön, jedoch gleich sehr tief und nicht für Kinder geeignet.

Ottima posizione, con vista meravigliosa. Ottima colazione. Il posto spiaggia, andrebbe gestito da un addetto, perché la gente lascia l'asciugamano per occupare il posto. Dovrebbero inoltre aggiungere lettini sulla piattaforma di accesso al mare.

Die Lage vom Hotel und auch das Essen war sehr gut. Einziger Minuspunkt sind die Parkplätze. In der Tiefgarage €17 und vor dem Hotel €12 aber die waren besetzt
