Very pleasant. We were part of a large group that used the facilities for an evening function. Great food and service

Staff were amaizingPosted Aug 11, 2017
Wonderful staff that went above and beyiubd every day, course I attended there had requirements for group breakouts unexpectedly and nothing was too much trouble. Always checked to see how things were going, and always with a smile, not matter what shift, lovely service that made me feel really welcome. Food was tasty, always on time and plentiful. And a lovely touch with the cockatoo in the foyer, a pleasant point of difference and definite conversation starter!

Close to the mallPosted Jun 8, 2017
Pros: Close to CBD
Cons: The smell.
Location: Queensgate, Dowse museum, nice cafes around the area, walking distance to the busstop.
Whilst the room was tidy, when walking into the room there was a strong smell of either wet carpet, or wet dog that wasn't very pleasant. And the shower curtain. Due to the strong shower, meant that the curtain would stick to you when you were in the shower which isn't very nice when it's cold.

Convenient location in the centre of Lower HuttPosted May 19, 2017
we enjoyed the central location . Ate in the restaurant , continental breakfast was all we needed with a good choice. Had dinner both nights. Excellently presented. Good service , and good food . Loved the venison chops. Check out accurate.

Nice hotel close to townPosted Apr 20, 2017
Pros: Clean tidy, quiet, nice art work on walls
Location: Shopping, close to main roads, easy access to other activities
Greeted by a friendly receptionist who was also very helpful. Nice room, good facilities. Great to stay in the same hotel as a family celebration - diner and dance.

This was the first stay at the Angus for ten years and I found it still in tip top condition after staying there over many years prior. The rooms were designed and built to a high quality and have remained so to my surprise and comfort.

Handy to Central Lower HuttPosted Mar 19, 2017
Pros: Location, room size & balcony. Good water pressure in shower. Handiness to restaurant and bar.
Cons: More tv channel selections
Pleasant stay on family business. Fast and efficient check in, good sized rooms modern décor and spotlessly clean as you would hope. Comfortable bed with room opening onto a small balcony Had one evening meal in the restaurant which was cooked perfectly how ever the room service breakfasts were inconsistent. Day 1 ordered omelette was a good size but no salt or pepper provided. Day 2 had continental, 3 pieces of toast but cold, Day 3 continental again this time only 2 pieces of toast but hot so a little nicer. The small public bar was pleasant and handy for a evening drink and obviously popular with locals. The cost was again very reasonable

Relatively close to Wellington. Somewhat hard to find as it is tucked away from main road. Also, next to construction but noise was not an issue.
