Great location for Krefeld, comfortable and with all necessary amenities. Bonus of being able to unlock the door between mine and my friend's room to create a suite!

Not anything special. I was expecting a lot from this place. Since it supposed to be 4 star ish. But, there is no test of 4 star there at all. I had to pay additional 12 euro per day for the parking. That was weird.

Nice quite comfortable hotel
The location is a little outside of the town centre but there is public transportation right outside and still walkable (10-20 min). Quite location, the room was very comfortable and staff very friendly and accommodating. Love their green initiative, where you can choose not to have your room serviced and they donate to a charity to plant trees. I would definitely stay there again.

Although this hotel is older, I appreciated the fresh look of the bedroom, bath and cupboard space. I loved the ceramic tile in the bathroom. The colors (blue, white, yellow) were bright and inviting. Classic charm!

An excellent hotel with a lot of history
This is a fabulous hotel, with a lot of history (formerly the "Krefelder Hof") in itself and surrounded by history, especially as it concerns the silk industry of the 18th century. Many prominent families, like the Von der Leyens, lived and worked in this area. A nearby excellent historical site is Burg Linn, which we discovered more or less by accident. The hotel offers a fabulous breakfast and has an outstanding restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive and used to dealing with international travelers. My only criticism: When there are special events (Karneval was approaching during our visit), parking spaces for hotel guests, who pay a daily fee, should be reserved. On one night it was impossible to find parking.

Reception excellent on checking into the Hotel & very quick & swift when we checked out I requested a later check out time & this was very well received. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is always my hotel of choice when traveling to the Krefeld area.

Nice hotel 20 minutes walk from town
Nice spacious hotel. Large reception area, bedroom clean with nice coffee machine. Bar very cosy and welcoming. The hotel also offers a Car park which is very secure and cost 11 euros per night. A short 20 minute walk into the town where there are many bars and restaurants particularly around the bustling tram station.

The staff is very competent, friendly and knowledgeable. They were extremely willing to speak English as our German is very limited. Wonderful breakfast buffet in the garden.

Like visiting an old friend!
Visiting the area and the hotel for the third time for some friends' birthday celebrations in Krefeld. Easy journey from Dusseldorf International to Krefeld. Nice, quiet location, great grounds, very good staff, nice food. Only 'minus' (small one!) is that the rooms are in need of updating - the decor throughout is rather dark and dated. Will definitely be back, though.

Very nice hotel
It is a very nice hotel. My room was big enough for me, for two people a little cramped. The shower stall is a little small and the drainage in the sink did not work well. What Instead of having liquid soap/shampoo dispenser by the sink and in the shower, in addition to a piece of soap and two tubes of extra conditioning shampoo and shower gel, however NO body lotion. There was confusion that my rate had included breakfast. I had NOT paid for breakfast when I booked and paid for the accommodation. It got confusing, when I DID have breakfast and then once or twice had to pay. I paid the waitress in cash, she never gave me a receipt and did nOT return to give me the 2 Euro change. It was my fault, I should have gone after her and request a receipt. She considered the 2 Euros a tip, I assume.

Overall just missed being a great place.
The room was certainly adequate and very clean; unfortunately a very nice stay was spoiled by four (4) issues: 1. Shower water was not adjustable to stay a single temperature it was either burning hot or ice-cold. 2. Although my sister's room was to include breakfast, which the dining room staff confirmed, she was charged for it in the end, unfortunately no choice but to pay it. 3. Unused parking ticket was not scanned for the use and we were charged an extra day. 4. Improper change was given when cash payment was made. Our stay was great at the hotel and these items all basically occurred at the end of our stay leaving a somewhat bad taste.

Great Krefeld hotel
Mercure's are almost always nice, this one is no exception. Rooms are typical European - small. But bed is above average for Europe, nice TV and minibar, washroom was nice. The neighborhood is great... setback from the road a bit, but a Kaisers grocery store an easy walk away, great to get snacks etc. Internet on lobby computer is slow and printer was sketchy... did not try the in-room wifi. If visiting in the summer you can ask for a room with air conditioning.

Great hotel and amazing service
Visited Krefeld for a work meeting and only spent 2 days there. Service was amazing from check in to check out! Breakfast is great, restaurant is ok for lunch and dinner. Nice bar to have a drink and watch the game! Rooms are a bit small and not really at the taste of the day but very comfortable and clean.

Front desk staff was very professional, very helpful. Our room was very nice. We really liked the decor of yellow and light blue. It is nice to wake up in the morning to these "sunny" colors, since the weather was very rainy and unfriendly. We had some issue with the shower head, it had come off. It was fixed the same day. I also thought that the quality of the towels was rather poor, they were very thin. We also would have like a double size bed, but considering the price we paid, we cannot complain.

Clean hotel but not very comfortable
The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood. However, the rooms are not very comfortable. The major issue being, there is no way you can control the temperature in your room. I stayed here in the first week of April and it was pretty warm. The rooms have no thermostat to control the room temperature nor did they have a fan to offer for guests who preferred a cooler temperature in the room.

Fantastic Hotel
This was an overnight stop with our family before heading further south. The staff made us very welcome and the rooms were more than we expected. Facilities at the hotel were excellent as was food.. i would have likes to have stayed longer and intend to return again, Would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends
