Overnight stay in Lu.

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: The only thing we really loved was the food.
Cons: It needs some ambience. A proper bar and a terrace area to relax in.
Location: Not impressed by the location but there again we were just passing through. Not sure what there was to do.
Difficult to find but that might of been our fault. Location a bit off putting, looked like a work in progress. Room was ok but the meal that night was unbelievably good. If they put as much effort into the hotel side of the business as they do into the restaurant it would be excellent.

Pros: Rustic building but inside is a different world.
Cons: The restaurant service and menu was great but the dishes taste need improvement.
This hotel has cosy rooms with amazing view, nice location in unique town. It also has a good gourmet restaurant. Attended by the owners.

Wonderful historic Monastery stay

Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: The history, old world charm, and yet very comfortable. Food and wine was the best sampled in Italy.
Cons: Nothing - it was perfect.
Location: Visit the 2 restaurants in town as well as the Cantina Sociale. There are many wineries and other towns to drive to close by.
A beautiful historic Monastery located in a quiet hilltop town in Northern Italy. This is a real local village experience off the tourism beaten track, in a place full of charm and old world feeling. The food was extremely affordable and exceptional, as well as the very inexpensive excellent local wines. A visit to the Cantina Sociale is a must to sample to local Barbera grape as well as other varietals. This is a step back in time in a most relaxing atmosphere. The proprietors, Atillio & Peireina were perfect hosts, in the stye of the accommodation, which made it a most pleasant experience.

Great find

Posted Jun 12, 2013
Pros: Views from restaurant
Cons: Ease of finding it
Location: Very quiet. Definately need a car, or to be a keen cyclist!
Great location, even though it's quite difficult to find. The main road to it is closed and the diversion signs not the greatest. It took us probably an hour to find it once within 3 miles! Beautiful view, very quiet and certainly a little different from most hotels. Great views from the restaurant, and a lovely room to dine in. Owners speak very little Engligh, but delightful.

Rustiek hotel met uitstekende keuken

Posted Sep 21, 2014

Pros: Cadre, lieu, restaurant
