Close enough to lone star pavilionPosted Oct 20, 2015
The hotel cancelled my reservation because they couldn't get a hold of me. Understandable. They were kind enough to still let get the room I reserved. However, I was charged a 200$ cleaning fee because the whole floor smelled like pot. Will not be staying here again.

At $180 a night, you get $19.99 a night roomPosted Oct 4, 2015
Rooms so dilapidated and falling apart you don't feel comfortable walking in the room you rent. Towels smell like mold, pool is cracking at every seam.

Great Hotel For Lubbock Pit StopPosted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: The outside back door, it doesn't work and we had to walk all the way around the hotel to get to our hotel.
Location: The hotel is kind of far from everything, including Texas Tech. It's off of a high way. Not too bad I guess.
We enjoyed this hotel very much. Rooms were very clean, it was quiet, beds were comfortable. Before booking this hotel I felt sort of skeptical because of the reviews I was reading. I may have been a bit pricy (because of the Tech game perhaps) but we thought it was worth it. The only thing that we may not have been in favor of, was the staff not letting us check in a little early (they were kinda strict on that), and the stubborn door that wouldn't work with our hotel card keys (the outside one in the back, our room door was fine). Before checking in I was told I was gonna either have to give a $100 deposit (if I paid in cash) or a $30 if I paid with a card and that I would receive either deposit once I checked out...but they never did so and I paid the exact amount I was given on expedia. The hotel was a little far from Tech too. Overall I would most definitely recommend this hotel. For a Best Western, it was great! My suite was pretty elegant. Left satisfied.

Not terrible...Posted Aug 27, 2015 on Hotels
When we arrived, we noticed that the neighborhood was a little rough, but the hotel lobby was nice enough. We were immediately asked to pay for our room in advance, which was really strange because we had already paid online. When we presented the receipt from Hotels.com, the woman at the desk called a manager who apparently told her that we were required to put down a $100 deposit to ensure we didn't damage anything. When we got up to the room, the hallway outside of the room reeked of smoke, but the room itself had no odor and was fairly clean. The beds weren't very comfortable, but for the price, one can't be too choosy. All in all, I probably would choose another hotel if I ever stayed in the area again.

Nice Hotel, Reservation an issuePosted Aug 11, 2015 on Hotels
Nice and clean establishment. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was a bit warm during the night, but bearable. The breakfast was typical fare of frozen food warmed up like most places. Not that appetizing. Right off the highway so very accessible to many destination places. Most of the staff were friendly. Parking was plentiful. The only negative was people smoking right outside the door as you walk in and out because it was a non smoking hotel. The hotel should put a sign that says people should smoke at least 50 feet away from the door. We had several family members staying at the hotel and my brothers reservation was cancelled because there was an issue with his card. They said they could not contact him since the reservation was made through an online travel company and they don't show the customers phone number. So they cancelled his room when they ran the credit card the morning off his stay. The card was good when he booked the room and they should not have charged on it until he got there. Instead he had to reserve another room, a suite since that's all they had left and charged him almost double the original booking special. I thought that was ridiculous. They didn't even consider honoring the special price. On top of that they only reserved it for one day when his original reservation was for 2 days, so he got a notice to check out. He had to book the room again.
