Nice hotel

Everything looks clean except the carpet, breakfast should end aroun 11 am

Clean but disappointing

Pros: Clean
Cons: Queen beds not full for two bed rooms.
Location: Downtown, plenty of restaurants, bar & grills around.
The room was clean but the double beds were full size, not queens. Leaves two people in one bed very close and difficult to move around and sleep together. Thought they were going to be queens. Didn't care for the open door, latino music cranked up, four people hanging out on the rail drinking cervezas late at night about 4 doors down. It was for one night, so we just rolled with it.

Overall it was mostly good, nice room, good central location etc., however two very disappointing points: 1. the wifi in my room cut out. The reception told me that the nearest router was in a neighbour's room and as I was the only one affected and it was night time, I had to suck it up until it sorted itself out. They wouldn't disturb the neighbour to reset the router (or tell me which room it was in), even though the reception told me it could have been caused by that particular guest turning the router off. So that guest can adversely affect my experience in the hotel, but I can't interrupt their privacy and ask them to turn it back on? As an international traveller I needed wifi to finish work, contact my family, find out more about Lubbock etc. so it was fairly annoying. Routers should be in a neutrally accessible location. 2. there was a cockroach in the breakfast buffet. Enough said.

Tight space.

Usually when traveling our choice is La Quinta, this particular location doesn't have much room, walls and doors very thin able to hear everything. Positive note.....Breakfast overall was good.

Worst stay I've had

This was by far the WORST visit or La Quinta I have ever had! To put in a nutshell; it's filthy...room 1 was not clean, sheets had crumbs and hair on them, couple dead roaches behind chair next to bed. They "upgraded" (term used very loosely) me To another room. If it wasn't for the time and that I was exhausted I would have went elsewhere. This hotel needs a lot of work!
