Limited parking but comfortable

The front desk attendant was great but the outside of the hotel looked terrible with the scaffolding and trash laying around. Some residents took multiple parking spaces limiting those for others trying to check-in.

Nice Hotel, close to Texas Tech campus

Pros: Location to Texas Tech
Cons: Carpet in the hallways.
The La Quinta is being remodeled. Our room was newly remodeled. Very comfortable. What I expected in the room. The carpet in the hallway could be replaced. It has spots on it. The breakfast was nice. What you would expect from this hotel.

Housekeeping

Pros: Clean good rooms and bathrooms
Hotel is otherwise OK. Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. On one day my room was not cleaned at all. When questioned front desk claimed that their notes showed that the room had been cleaned. Would not agree to check out the room. Spoke to a manager, who apologized and comped me a day. On following days room was cleaned but bed was unmade one day. Yes they are cheap, however this is unacceptable

Updated rooms in 4and 5. Changed from 507 because of rumble in ac. Gracious staff. Spacious. Clean. Many offerings in breakfast. Paid 70. Ate at outstanding mom and pop- tech cafe-steak fingers with big salad, mashed potatoes double steak fingers--even on senior plate and gravy

Close to hospital

This hotel was okay,we stayed 2 days, the second day, when we return from hospital visit the sheets were not changed..because my mother found her socks she lost from the night before in her bed, and my phone charger was gone.

Easy access to Texas tech campus

My family and I have stayed at this particular hotel before and we were happy with it. This time I was not happy. When we arrived there, the outside smelled horrible like feces, apparently there are several cow farms in Lubbock and every now and then, the outside of the hotel gets super smelly, I had to hold my breath to go inside the hotel. Secondly, as I waited to get checked in, a customer came in and said that someone had thrown bricks to the cars that were parked along the street and there were several broken windshields. I'm not familiar with Lubbock and don't know if this hotel is in a bad part of town or if it is just coincidence that this happened. The attendants took their time to go out there to see what had happened. We were lucky to have parked right in front of the main doors so our car did not get hit with bricks. We decided to stay there since we had already payed for the room but I will not be staying there again.

We have turned in the incident to the Lubbock police department and they are investigating the incident. I am sorry that it happed during your last stay with us.
