Horrible experience!!!!!

Posted Apr 15, 2018
When I opened the door, the smell hits you. The bathroom didn’t have any toilet tissue, the shower head was corroborated, the fixtures were rusted, the towels were thin and hard, the overall look of the room was unclean. It was not worth $60 a night. The picture on the web site was misleading. I will never stay at another Super 8.

Panhandlers and low lifes hanging around the convenience store next door. Very few of the room lights functioned.

It was a no frills place to stay. Blanket looked old and was thin. Staff was friendly and helpful. A little overpriced for the room

Terrible

Posted Dec 18, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: close to Texas Tech campus for graduation
Cons: See above!
Location: close to Texas Tech
Could not sleep on bed because it had plastic on box spring and crinkled every time we moved. No remote for the tv, had to ask front desk & wait on it. Manager/staff opened door while we were in the room, not yet 11:00 to check out. Luckily, the wife was dressed (I was in the restroom). Will no longer reserve rooms based on lower price... you get what you pay for.

Overnight en route to New Mexico

Posted Nov 3, 2017 on Hotels
It was a quick overnight and we were able to check in without a prior reservation. The receptionist was friendly and the room was basic but satisfactory.

Lots of room for improvement

Posted Oct 2, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Bed was ok, staff was ok.
Cons: Cleanliness, electrical hazards, towels, linens, better cleaning of bathrooms, parking,
Location: Texas Tech
Starting with the positive.. the bed was comfortable and the staff tried to be helpful. On to the not so positive.. the electrical outlets were all broken, and were held together by scotch tape. Even the one next to the sink - this is a hazard because when you try to unplug something the entire outlet pulls out of the wall. One night our smoke alarm was beeping like it needed a new battery. I called the office and they asked me to stand on a chair and bring them the battery. I explained I could not reach it even if I stood on a chair, so they sent a young man to our room and he removed the battery, looked at it and said ya'll don't smoke right? I told him no, so he proceeded to remove the entire smoke detector and they never reinstalled it. The closet was so small that you could not hang clothes in it unless you pulled out the fridge & microwave that were in there. The towels were like mismatched rags, and the second night they left us damp towels in our bathroom.... so gross!! The room was fairly clean, but they need to seriously improve how they clean the toilet. The one blanket on the bed was very old & worn. Every single night people had to park in the empty lot across from the hotel because there was not enough parking for guests. I would not recommend this place to a friend, nor will I stay here again.

Clean place to sleep

Posted Sep 17, 2017 on Hotels
Owners are super friendly and bed is nice. Of you want something fancy, then go somewhere else. If you need a clean and quiet place to sleep for the night, then this is excellent for the price!

Went to the Texas Tech Game

Posted Sep 4, 2017
Check in was slow but friendly staff. Was given key to room but it was not ready. The door was wide open and it was not clean. The side of the box spring had a huge red stain. Left for an hour and came back. Carpet had stains everywhere I never took off my shoes. No towels. Several hours later towels arrived. Paid around $100.00 with tax. Never stayed in the room. Ended up getting a room somewhere else. Very outdated and dirty property. I basically paid to park my car.
