CancelledPosted May 7, 2017
Cons: Their honesty
They cancelled our reservation two days before we were supposed to stay there, when we were already in Italy.

a hidden gem - 30 minutes out of LuccaPosted Oct 24, 2016
Cons: clear information about the location and actual distance to Lucca.
Location: Drive to Vierragio through the backroads - much prettier
Beautiful property, amazing views. Not as close to Lucca as we thought but it worked. Staff is very friendly & accommodating; we were there towards the end of the season, got a free upgrade. Would love to be there during better weather and enjoy the grounds more.

Beautiful VillaPosted Oct 20, 2016
Location: The hotel is close to Pisa and Lucca. With Google Map App on phone, we had no problem finding it at all.
Our room is very spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Everyone of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our 3-night stay there.

Wonderful stay at luxurious villa near LuccaPosted Aug 29, 2016
We had a wonderful stay at Albergo Villa Casanova - unfortunately only one night, we would have changed our itinerary to stay longer if we had known how much we would love it! Villa has been recently (and beautifully) renovated with very high end, modern finishes - the bathroom in our suite was one of the nicest I have seen, with a huge cast iron tub (replete with the Villa's own coat of arms) and vast rain shower. The huge 4-poster bed was heavenly. The pool was a lovely treat after a long day of sightseeing (Lucca and Pisa both close) - with an infinity edge looking over stunning Tuscan landscape. We had a superb dinner on the terrace, with lots of candles (overlooking same stunning landscape), with wonderful food. And the family who owns the and renovated the Villa are lovely, welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4 (kids are 8 and 6) - there were two sweet little beds in the sitting area of the suite for the kids. Thank you, Villa Casanova, for a great stay and wonderful memories of our time in Lucca!

Couldn't Be BetterPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Everything. Worth the high price. A real find. Recent restoration is lovely.
Location: A bit hard to find, but that is part of the charm. About 15 minutes from Lucca in the countryside.
Beautiful, peaceful, small, 14 rooms, quiet, a real find. Perfect balance for the busy and somewhat chaotic nearby city of Lucca. Very personal service from owner Marianne. Made us feel special and cared for in a quiet and unobtrusive way.

Serenity Now!Posted Sep 4, 2014 on Hotels
We had a lovely, if brief stay, at Albergo Villa Cassanova. The setting is spectacular, with a beautiful view from up on a hill of the town of Lucca below and surrounded by trees and open space. Despite a minor glitch due to our booking agent, our host was more than reasonable and was as hospitable as one could hope for. Would highly recommend.

Best Hotel of Lucca, no doubt!Posted May 7, 2013
Pros: Very frendly staff, the hotel is confortable, simple but very sofisticated. Located in a nice hill. Very silent ! Perfect for a good sleeping night!
Cons: t was hard to find it. The address printed in the voucher doesn't match with the GPS data. There are 2 streets with that same name at Lucca.
Location: Easy to reach Lucca (20 minutes) Easy to get Pisa (40 Minutes)
This hotel is perfect, nice spacious rooms, everithing is brand new. Very nice bathroom with a great shower!

Mysigt ställe uppe i bergen.
