Fantastic quirky little b&b, very close to city walls. Would recommend.

Great fun place.

Great find and fun place. It is not manned full time and you need an access code to get in. This was slightly problematic (several phone calls before we got code)so would make sure I had it in advance next time. Hotel claim they provide code but its not passed on. However great room, location and excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed our time here.

Staying in King Arthur's day

Posted Aug 2, 2015 on Hotels
The rooms have a lot of character. We stayed in the Lady Guenivier. It was quite fanciful with a large bed draped with material. There were murals painted on the wall and a clawfoot bathtub in the room with red tuling canopied over it.The air conditioner was not working very well. The staff was helpful and they made fresh capucinno for breakfast.

Great Hotel

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: We like different to the normal and the decor was just that. Fun and quirky. Well placed to get about. Clean comfortable. Staff very helpful.
Location: The city walls a short walk away. Through in the City everything is very close and is a joy to explore.
We were very happy with the hotel, well placed just outside the city walls. A short walk. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

Quirky Hotel

Posted May 24, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed for two nights. I was a bit surprised to arrive and to have to let myself in and find my own room keys but I suppose it is actually a B&B rather than a proper hotel, so maybe I should have noted that. The breakfast was really great- much choice and all very nice. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the main city. The room and hotel in general were all decorated very much in an arty, quirky style. It's a very interesting B&B to stay in.
