Quiet, helpful staff, comfortable bed, good shower, free onsite parking, bus stop outside hotel to take you into centre of Lucerne (15min ride), good breakfast. Definitely stay again.

The place is accessible for a star trip. The place is quiet, air conditioner, refrigerator in the room, free parking, excellent breakfast, the owners and employees are welcoming. Highly recommend.

We liked everything about our stay. The welcome was lovely, and the care for guests outstanding. The rooms were fantastic and we loved the area. Transit was so convenient, great to leave the car and not worry about traffic and parking.

Wonderful place - Lovely area
Found the hotel by hopping on a bus from the train station. Asked at the bus station for a bit of help to determine what bus and everyone was very helpful. Bus ride was good and dropped us off right in front of the hotel. About a 15- 20 minute ride but very pleasant. Hotel staff were very helpful and we were given free bus passes for the duration of our stay. Hotel was very clean and quite secure with locking doors on the floors of hotel with access granted by key card. Rooms were small but adequate with two twin beds as requested for my daughter and myself and a small sitting area. There was water available when we got there and a small fridge in the room. Bathroom was very clean with a no tub but a large shower. They had a restaurant available - although we did not eat there - there were many patrons who seemed to be enjoying the food and atmosphere. Beautiful area with things to do and a parking area available if you have a car. Busses run on a regular schedule and very easy to access. Hotel has bus schedule available onsite which is very helpful. Lucerne was about 15-20 minute bus ride and was a wonderful place to visit. Hotel was very quiet and peaceful for sleeping. I found the beds a bit firmer than I am used to - but nothing that would deter me from staying there again. We had a delightful visit in Switzerland and loved seeing the sites and sounds around both the city and the countryside.

Only negative is traffic noise when windows are open. is located in a quiet neighborhood of Horw. Family owned friendly staff. Bus stop right across street. Food REALLY good!

Outside of Lucerne (short drive) on quiet street, easy parking, big, nice, very clean room with view of mountains, very nice restaurant, outdoor terrace. Everything easy, quiet, pleasant, clean, solid, well-designed, and nice staff.

The hotel allowed us to check in much earlier than expected! We were given complimentary coffee upon arrival! The room was very comfortable and clean! There is a bus stop right outside the front door so getting around is quite easy!

Lovely friendly welcome from English speaking staff. Hotel has a/c which we needed with temps in low 30s C. Excellent breakfasts with good choice and food in the restaurant also very good. Good transport links into Lucerne with bus stops right outside. Would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Felmis is very pleasant. The bus in front of the hotel that runs to and from the center of Lucerne is convenient and efficient.

Bed was comfortable, shower felt amazing, bkft was good. It is a bit outside of town so its was a taxi ride there for 30€. The next day we found out there was a bus we could've taken that drops off right in front of the hotel. Forgot the bus number but took it back to the train station. ** On a side note, if you are going to be in Switzerland for a few days, the Swiss Pass is worth the purchase. That bus ride is included in the cost along with trains and boats and some trolley or some discountsamong other attractions. look I to it! **

Excellent, friendly hotel, with Lucerne only 15 minutes by bus - bus stop is about 50 metres from the hotel. Lucerne is beautiful, but Switzerland very expensive.

Great hotel from which to access Lucerne
Hotel Felmis turned out to be a very good choice for my wife and me. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains from our room. We were driving, so we appreciated the very convenient parking. We took the bus from right in front of the hotel to downtown Lucerne, without having to hassle with parking in Lucerne. The area around the hotel is very nice.

Great Hotel 10 Minutes from Lucerne Central
We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was the best in are 2-week trip in Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Austria. First, it was quite reasonably priced compared to most hotels in Lucerne. It is located in Horw (pronounced "Horb") which was a mere 10 minute drive to downtown Lucerne Second, the room was very nice and parking was right across the street in a spacious lot. There was a restaurant in the hotel with outside seating underneath a huge tent that was anchored to last through a hurricane! The staff was wonderful, but the manger was one of the best I have encountered anywhere. He was attentive to everyone, not just us; and he would simply stop whatever he was doing to help. There was a bus stop right across the street, yet the atmosphere was very rural. We loved everything about this place. I hope it never changes!

A hotel we will continue to stay in
We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions in the past whilst on our way to and from Italy. It is very convenient for the motorway and is close to Lucern (only a short bus ride away in fact). The rooms are very clean and comfortable and some have lovely views of the nearby mountains. Breakfast is excellent and so are the meals in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
