Great Location to Fish, Kayak, and Canoe Along the Pere Marquette River

Waterfront cabin with kitchen and patio
Cannon River Ranch: Cabin 3 sits on a bluff overlooking the Pere Marquette River. The views from the decks are simply amazing, they are the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee in the morning, or a cold drink at night while listening to the river pass below. The cabin has 3 private bedrooms and a loft area and sleeps 7 people total. The main floor has a fully stocked kitchen, living room and dining room area with fireplace. There is also a large deck off the side that sits right at the edge of the bluff looking down to the river below. The cabin sits above a bend in the river, giving incredible views in both directions up and down stream. The fishing is spectacular in this location. The location of the cabin is secluded enough to have complete privacy, but close enough to the housekeepers cabin and to the other cabins to be close by if you have a group or are renting multiple cabins. Bring a fishing pole and a cooler, and have the time of your life!PLEASE NOTE: With the property being for sale, the owners have the right to cancel any reservations with a 6 month notice**
Guest accommodations at this cabin offer fireplaces and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to patios. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils.

Truly in the middle of nowhere
It was definitely remote. My minivan struggled with the sand road that leads to the cabins from the main house. Our cabin was approximately two miles down that road. There is absolutely no cell service, but there was, thankfully, a landline provided. The caretaker was helpful upon arrival, but we felt uncomfortable when he arrived at our cabin unannounced at 9 pm on our last night to gather trash and check in on us. While this is polite during the day, it can make women feel uncomfortable and unsafe When alone in a remote area. Some of the windows opened, but many of the cranks/seals/parts were broken. This made opening the windows to get air movement difficult. Outside of these issues, it was a pleasant stay.

    Beautiful getaway
The location is perfect. Tons of outdoor activities as well as peace and quiet.

    Wonderful
We had the pleasure of checking out each of the cabins as we were the only guests staying that weekend and across the board, these cabins could not be in a more picturesque location. The furniture was a little dated, and I didn't receive much communication before arriving, but it didn't take away from how lovely the experiece was once we arrived. Will certainly be coming back for years to come.

    Beautiful views
Loved everything about the property. The views of the river are beautiful. The house was secluded and it had all the peace and tranquility

    Amazing weekend
Tucked away in the middle of the woods cabin with gorgeous view oh the fire place and river through big windows. Very restful location. Had great sleep 😄 and multiple things to do. Beautiful Ludington national park. Bring bikes and mosquito repellent. Mosquitos not too bad.
