Clean

Posted Oct 3, 2016 on Hotels
Comfort Inn is a typical two-star place. It is very clean. The rooms have accessible plugs, functioning irons, coffee makers, fridges and microwaves. The beds are good, not great. The other furnishings are not particularly comfortable and not particularly suited to the rooms. Other than hand soap no usable toiletries are provided, so bring your own (There is a pharmacy right across the street). The shower drains are all slow (I've stayed in a half dozen different rooms). The breakfast is not worth bothering with (factory breakfast food and hard boiled eggs). The coffee is terrible. The service is adequate, but the staff all seem to have an attitude--as if they are doing you a favour by serving you (This attitude is actually pretty general on the South Shore, I find). Weirdly, single rooms are much more costly than family rooms.

Had a good experience the only problem was with booking when making the reservation I had asked for a room on the bottom floor due to having a dog but when we arrived they said they had no rooms on the bottom floors I thought if you made a reservation request it would be saved

Cons: The exit door from the hallway to the stairs is very noisy when closing. You hear every click and it is intrusive.
It was a comfortable stopover. Clean, comfortable.

There was not enough room in the breakfast area; also very little selection for the breakfast! Would not choose this place again!!!!

Stay away

Pros: there was nothing to like at this hotel
Cons: The building should be torn down and start from scratch. Water damage throughout and mold smell covered up by chemical smell
This hotel is terrible. The stench that was coming from the hotel was gross and gave me a headache. There was signs posted on main floor that the floor was wet. Obviously they must have had a flood there as the carpets in the room was damp. There was a centipede crawling on the ceiling. The room was damp, gloomy and just down right gross. It stunk musty and chemical smell. I tried to cancel through expedia but was informed that if I cancel, they would charge me 100%. Their policy is if you cancel after 3 there may be charges. The hotel informed me that there was no charges on their end and free cancellation on their part. Expedia said because it's after three they need to charge at 100%. Even though I booked after three and wanted to cancel half hour later, no deal. I wanted to rebook at another hotel through them and they said they could not change their policy. So I had to suck it up and stay in a disgusting hotel because of Expedia. Thanks for nothing Expedia
