Good hotel close to motorway with free parking

Pros: Well located with helpful staff
Cons: Connect the TV to the wall before guests arrive please
Location: Good access to M1.
I've stayed here a couple of times recently and find it strange that, on each occasion, I have had to connect the TV signal cable which is left lying on the floor. It's quite tricky as the TVs are bolted to the wall with very little space to manoeuvre. Apart from that, I like to stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful although booking through Expedia seems to cause a problem as my name hasn't been recognised when I checked in. Rooms are clean and comfy and this time I had a large, brightly lit walk-in shower.

Should be closed down!

This was a terrible experience. I cannot believe Expedia are happy to sell rooms in this very bad hotel. It is in worse condition than a hostel. I was shown three rooms, all in very poor condition, I asked for my money back and found more suitable accommodation else where.

Convenient Hotel

Location: As above but London is within easy reach
Easy to find, park and access to M1. Always welcomes professuionally

Didn’t get the room I booked. Initially Was sent to a room already occupied then to a room with single beds when I had booked double. The water was cold in the morning

lights not working and funny smell

Hi had to change rooms as we got there because ther was not enough lights as 3 lamps was not working so they changed us as the was no maintenance available at 6.30 pm so not a good first impression. Then the room we changed too had a funny smell but luckily it was just a night but other than that lots of parking and breakfast was ok

Budget hotel near Luton Airport

Staff very pleasant and helpful. However, our room was cold on entry and one bedside lamp did not work. I went to Reception to tell them and they promised someone would come with a new bulb. No-one came. When we moved the bed to plug the bedside lights in there were bits of rubbish including paper hankies, milk capsules on the floor. I could not turn the tap off in the bathroom it was so stiff.

Compared with YHA choose a YHA you have got more comfort.

Bad stay at Chiltern

Pros: The bar was OK and the TV and coffee facilities in the room were OK.
Cons: Clean the carpets or replace them. Mend and connect the gym equipment, Overall the bathroom, remove any stained bedding.
Location: Location was OK, some restaurants nearby.
The general hotel was dirty, the bathroom was grotty, some of the pillows were stained, the staff were unfriendly, the gym was rubbish (Only 2 out of the 6 items worked)

Disappointing hotel

Showerhead was rusty, no teaspoons, room was freezing, needs updating/thorough cleaning, wrong lightbulb fitted so was flickering.
