Close to city centre

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Hotel is very centrally located in the city centre, with easy access to the MRT station. Love the feeling of going back to the old time to experience its glory.

Convenient, clean, Old-Shanghai style hotel

Overall it was amazing, the interior was in Old-Shanghai feeling. It was difficult to control the air-conditional's temperature though.

Will not stay there again

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Lower the price or upgrade your furnitures. At least stop the beds from creaking everytime you turn.
Location: Jingan area is great and have many small boutiques and restaurants around. Many upscale retail and dining destinations are also a short cab ride away.
Pro: in a up and coming hip neighbourhood but not too close to the metro Con: really really old hotel, close to $1000HKD for a night you can get a way better hotel. Front desk lady refused to speak english. Creaking old bed, did not get a wink of sleep. Old furnitures, stained sofa. My building was also another 5 minutes walk from the front entrance. Honestly just pay a few hundred HKD more (~60USD) and stay right opposite at the Okura hotel. Full disclosure I don't really cope well with old *heritage* hotels

Hard to find but great place. Make note that Shanghai Metro stops at 23:00. Very difficult to get cab or Uber after Metro closes.
