Smelly room and corridor.

I arrived late in the evening due to a flight delay. The room was on the 2nd floor, the hallway had a musty/damp sort of smell, and this was also present in the room. As it was so late and the smell was just about tolerable I decided not to complain and ask for another room (I guessed that as the hotel was probably full this would be a waste of time anyway). The next day I was out all day and didn't return until late in the evening, as I was very tired I decided I could tolerate the smell for one last night. I had the window wide open anyway, because it was hot and the room had no aircon.
When I checked out they asked me about my stay so I told them about the smell. They said they "would make a note of it". They did not express any surprise at all or enquire for any further details - so they obviously knew about it. This last fact really irritated me, and would lead me to not recommend this hotel.
One last thing, on the second night when I got back to the room I couldn't open the door. When I asked at reception they told me they had changed the locks on that floor - and didn't warn me they were doing it, they just let me find out the hard way.
