Cons: General decor and need of modernising
Location: Good for all areas
Nice hotel, needs some updating as very tired looking, but the food and staff made up for it especially Georgia .

The main hotel building is very nice with good service, however the bedrooms are straight out of the 70’s! Very tired and dated, shame as everything else was lovely.

Could do with redecoration and a deep clean

Staff were very friendly, however that was about as good as the stay got. We were in Room 145 which was in the Annex, there was a wedding party that night so it could have been better if we were in the main hotel. However a Hotel is only as good as it's worst room and this one was pretty bad especially for the price paid. Decided to book this hotel as it was slightly higher cost than the budget hotels in the area in the hope that it would be slightly better quality, in reality I am not sure how it could have been much worse. Firstly the room looked like it was decorated in the 1980's and hasn't been redone since, everything just looked a little dated. The walls were also paper thin so everything could be heard from the room next door. The central heating system couldn't be controlled in the room and was freezing when off and boiling hot when turned on. In the bathroom there was a tile missing from around the toilet, the shower curtain was mouldy and the extractor vent hadn't seemed to have been cleaned in a long time. The TV turned on but couldn't get any signal and the lamps were last PAT tested in 2008, there were Tea and Coffee making facilities which worked fine. Finally some of the linen was a little stained and could have done with being replaced.
