Decent Hotel

The hotel is located in a quiet area away from traffic noise. The rooms are reasonably quiet, as well. The breakfast was similar to most hotels with some warm foods (eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy), along with an assortment of rolls, cereals, etc. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable. My biggest negative is the $100 additional deposit charged to my CC along with the room rate and fees. Twenty-four hours after checkout and it still has not been removed from my card. This was a first for me.... Of course at $100 a room that's a lot of working capital for the hotel. Just concerns me that they need it!

Decent hotel, clean, comfortable beds, and good breakfast even for lacto-ovo vegetarians. Has an indoor pool 3-5 feet deep and a hot tub. Within 12 miles of Panama City Beach and about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Henderson State Beach in Destin. TV setup in the room had various inputs easily accessible to attach game consoles or other input devices. Had a 4th floor room and it smelled clean and felt dry, not damp and moldy like some places do. First floor had a little bit of chlorine smell to it by the pool area. Indoor pool could have been a bit warmer for me, and the hot tub could have been a bit hotter. One other nice amenity is the dry sauna in the pool area. Overall, would stay again!

We have stayed at this hotel before and had no problem, that's why we chose to stay here again. However, on this trip we were told they had no housekeeping. We left out Saturday morning, came back late Saturday afternoon to find our room still in the same condition as we left it. Beds were not made, dirty towels were still in the floor. When we ask why our room hadn't been cleaned, the reply was, "We didn't have housekeeping service today. Is there something on your bed? Is there something on your floor?" I have NEVER stayed at a hotel that did not come in and make your beds and pick up dirty towels and leave clean ones!!! So this is a 4 store building, with several rooms and they had NO housekeeping for an entire day?? Needless to say, we will not be staying here again

I appreciate you putting out this response. Luckily, I was here when you came down and were screaming at us from the start. You see, you were so caught up in taking out your anger on the front desk staff that you refused to hear what was actually said to you. We never told you we didn't have housekeeping that day. What was said was that the housekeeping had gone home for the day. The problem with your room not being serviced was due to you leaving a "Do Not Disturb" sign up, even while you were gone. Good rule of thumb is that if you leave for the day, make sure you remove your DND sign and the housekeeping will take care of you. I'm sorry that your stay wasn't as you expected, but the problems that you had were due to a lack of attention to leaving your sign on the door, not due to our staff. Have a wonderful day.

Great place to stay, especially if you need peace and quiet. Close to everything.

We really enjoy the stay, everything was close and the indoor pool and breakfast were very nice! Rooms clean and affordable ☺

This hotel was not what I expected.

It was NOT easy checking in even though I had a prepaid reservation. There was no ice machine on our floor. The bed was not comfortable and there was a 'smell' in the room that was unpleasant to me. The complimentary shampoo bottles, etc. were not full as new ones usually are. The breakfast was not what we expected and not arranged well preventing the flow. Guests standing waiting for food to cook were blocking the line and flow to the items at the end. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to friends.

Quiet, comfortable motel/hotel in good location

We had stayed here before and thought everything was excellent. This time we had some minor problems with our room on the night that we checked in, but the staff got them fixed early the next morning. Overall, the housekeeping was good, although it wasn't quite up to the standard of our previous stay. Ditto for breakfast--it was above average; but, on this stay you had to get there fairly early in the morning or some of the items would be out of stock before you had a chance at them. The wi-fi was good. The tv had some problems--limited channels, no channel guide on any kind; and no sound or sound out of sync on at least one main channel--but it was adequate. Room comfort--the most important thing--was excellent; and price--the next most important thing--seemed reasonable for the area and the season.
