Close to transport links especially the express train to and from the airport. Metro and mainline trains stations just across road. Safe area but for cabs when coming back at night. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so a little banging and drilling but only after 9.00am. Would recommend.

Very dirty in bathroom toilet ,carpet tainted through out asked to change another room it’s not better and dryer broken ,telephone broken the clerk said a lot of room like that only 1 thing I picked because it is just in front of the train station I am regret to stay there

Enjoyable One Night Stay
Comfortable one-night stay in Lyon. The hotel is very near the train station which was a must for us. We had an extremely restful night on excellent beds/mattresses. The room was small, but exactly what we needed. We would certainly stay at the Campanile Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu again.

Sleep but don't eat!
Atrocious restaurant! Food was almost inedible and server was incredulous. The hotel itself was also below average, but the bed was comfortable. Would never donit again.

Tourist hotel in great spot
Great tourist hotel, in need of some refurbishment but there is a programme of works ongoing and it should be much improved for summer 2024. It's in a really great location for access to trains, trams and the metro so great spot for getting around. Also close to calle lafayette for bars and lidl (if required).

We stayed one night in this hotel. It is right across from the train station so it was perfect for us because part of our group arrived by train and part by car. The same was true for departure. The rooms were clean, but very small. Crowds gather in the hotel courtyard which was pleasant, but it also meant you heard folks throughout the night. All in all it was a great value for a short stay

Could not comfortably sit and read or use my computer in the bar because of background music with thumping disco beat. Why add a thud-thud sound track to what should be a place of calm? It was not especially loud but the thud-thud was inescapable all the same.

Very close to Lyon Part Dieu so a great place for an overnight stop on a train journey. Coffee bar and restaurant if required.

Property in need of rehab. Pool not working, We were awaiting the shuttle at the airport pickup spot which never arrived and after calling the hotel tor the status they promised to call back but never did so had to take an Uber. AC did not function in the room. On the positive side the shuttle the next morning was quick and convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for a quick one night stay before an early train the next morning. It’s super close to the train station, a 5 minute walk. The rooms for the most part are well-kept. Beds are comfortable. The decor/furniture are a little dated but remain clean. They don’t provide additional services like laundry or an ironing board, etc. This was a very fair accommodation for the low price we paid.

The location is great and they let us leave our luggages before the check-in hours. However, I did not feel safe to leave valuables in the room. When we got the key for our room, there was another guest's items in the room! The staff apologized and gave us a new room but it could happen to anyone.

Very tired and worn out room
My room 104 really is tired and in need of a refurb. The toilet seat was broken, quick job to identify and repair. The shower head was defective and water was leaking upwards due to a damaged head. Air con didn't work either. Usually stay at an Ibis hotel opposite but thought I'd try campanile. Back to Ibis next time
