In the Le Hotel Royal

Go here!!!! This is in my opinion the best hotel in Lyon. Breakfast and the hotel restaurant is amazing! Rooms are clean and new. The hotel is a short walking distance from shopping, restaurants and other cites. The staff is very friendly and willing to help!

An old building but located in the center of town.

Pros: Location
We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. The staff were friendly, the room was quiet with double windows. The breakfast was a bit expensive but overall reasonable value.

Outstanding City-Centre 4.9 star hotel.

Location: Conveniently located very close to many restaurants and shops, and with the convenience of the City's excellent transport services on the doorstep.
With only the addition of a small swimming pool/health suite and a larger lounge could one achieve other than 5 stars! The staff were beyond reproach in every way. Highly recommended.

Fabulous!

Location: Situated on Place Belcourt, walking distance to old town
We were a mini group of 26 persons and we loved our stay at the Royal Lyon. Staff is really nice, rooms are great and the situation of the hotel is perfect

Cons: more tables in the restaurant for hotel guests
Location: the square is lovely, loads of restaurants around, the bus tour goes 20 yards from the hotel. The Vaporetta to the Confluence at €2 is well worth doi
we booked this hotel to go to the Paul Bocuse school. We were put on a waiting list when we checked in. On Tuesday we asked the receptionist if there had been any cancellations, she very rudely said no, and `the restaurant was nothing to do with the hotel ` ! The receptionist in the restaurant itself was equally as dismissive. All the reviews talked about the amazing Fragonard toiletries, well these were very nice, but just in the big dispensers The hotel was very quiet and our initial room was overlooking a wall. We refused this and were moved to room 307, which was 3 times the size with balconies overlooking the river and square, much better. . We didn't have the breakfast, the room looked beautiful but at €25 pp we thought over priced, we were, however, charged ! Very comfortable bed.

For a better view on place Bellecour ou place Poncet, we invite our guest to book a superior room with a view or a Junior suite. Our rooms on court side are very quiet but with no view. I confirm that we do not ask for the payment of the consumed breakfasts. They are deducted of course from the invoice. Figure out where the front door is before you arrive. There is reserved temporary parking, but not on the street we thought it was - the hotel sits on a corner.

Pros: Convenient location. Great breakfast.
Cons: Internet access and speed can definitely be improved. Even the paid fast internet is extremely slow and inefficient.
Location: great shopping and restaurants nearby; walking distance.
Welcoming staff made our stay a warm experience. Spacious rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful. Great location. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.
