Buitenplaats Vaeshartelt is a hotel that is conveniently located near Maastrich… but it's just far enough away from the busy city centre to provide a quiet and tranquil stay. I found this wonderful place via Expedia… and I'll be going back soon… and often! I believe that it is a busy conference and events location - but I just found it to be relaxing & stylish. The buildings and grounds are beautiful - while the interiors are modern and well-designed. A thoroughly recommended choice.

Really good excellent pet friendly room with access outside from the room Slight downside the mattress was softer than I like but that is personal taste and no coffee making facilities in room. Bout overall excellent

Very nice hotel in a very nice location. Good food, restaurant staff are very friendly but lack training. Lights above wash basin only switch off when you remove the key card, leaving you in darkness. if you can live with this, I'd certainly suggest you try this hotel out, we enjoyed our stay

Beautiful place next to Maastricht
Beautiful location, with lot of green areas. The restaurants are beautifully decorated, the room was good except that the double bed was a junction of two single beds that couldn’t stay together.

Sitting in the long hallway in the Bistro was not very cosy. It was also very draughty as the staff/people were constantly going in and out of the door into the smaller room of the Bistro.

Nice hotel crap breakfast
The hotel and grounds were lovely, the rooms very basic with no tea and coffee facilities, breakfast was crap at €16.50 a head!!! Made a complaint about the breakfast but I think it fell on deaf ears so here's are review on the breakfast :- eggs boiled to within an inch of their lives, bacon was cold and fatty, scrambled eggs were powdered and tasted like they were full of sugar, juices were of the powdered variety and the toaster didn't work?? So I wouldn't recommend the breakfast.

A lovely place to stay
Now understand why other guests said it’s a lovely hotel. A bit far from city centre but if you have a car, it’s not a problem. The hotel is surrounded by nature. Recommend if you have kids. A good place for solo retreat as well.

Beautiful restful place with lots of parking
Beautiful setting, nice rooms, great staff, an overall restful and relaxing experience.The only criticism we have is that the menu in the restaurant and bar/brasserie is very limited. If you stay longer than a few days you quickly run out of options. For a beautiful hotel like this they would do themselves a big favor in improving on this.

Wow. The location was so relaxing quiet, and peaceful. Right off the main road. You approach through a canopy of trees to the beautiful building. The rooms were great. Hot water with good pressure. The price was also really reasonable.

Hiden away retreat
A very nice setting just outside of Maastricht. Arrived very late so did not eat in hotel. Breakfast offers a good choice of dishes. Large car park but a short walk to the hotel entrance (not so good when raining) very quiet as hotel is well away from the main road.

Beautiful setting. The facility was attractive interesting and comfortable. However there are only two towels, no wash clause. The service at dinner was poor. The quality of food at breakfast and lunch was excellent.

A comfortable place to stay
On the outskirts of Maastricht (5 min drive to the centre) this hotel is geared to conferences - however it is just as fine for visitors to Maastricht. Rooms are fine although the room we stayed in was starting to show signs of 'tiredness' - shower door would not shut and door to toilet a bit hard to shut. Having said this the room was clean, the staff were good and the grounds were nice to walk in.

Grand Manor House!
Lovely property situated in a park-like setting down to the herd of sheep grazing ten yards from the front door! Ideal location for touring Maastricht and for paying respects at the nearby World War II Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial where the remains of eight thousand US servicemen are interred. Very peaceful and quiet with plenty of parking.

A great surprise
Another one of my practical night stops en route to Amsterdam airport from Milan via Germany. This hotel is amazing! The building, staff, level of service and all round quality was far more than I could have hoped for after a long road trip. Very recommendable to all types of guest.
