Great hotel, perfect location

Posted Jan 4, 2016
We had a wonderful time in Maastricht and the Crowne Plaza was a wonderful hotel. Excellent location and great staff! Breakfast pricing was a little expensive compared to other hotels, but that is a minor negative to a fantastic hotel!

Honest comments

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: More extensive dinner
Location: Maastricht is a beautiful place with lots to see and do.
Excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Meals good but not exceptional. Problems at breakfast first morning due to number of guests which should have been predicted. Potentially serious issue the second morning which was dealt with by not charging us. Buffet evening meal as part of pre concert (Andre Rieu ) offer not top quality but not bad value for money.

Dear John, Thank you for taking time for your feedback. I will thank you for your nice words about our staff. Your comments about the meals I will discuss with our executive chef. The issue coast due to the number of guest who would like to use the breakfast buffet, I will bring this to the attention of our Restaurant Manager. Thank you for your stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. With Kind Regards, Ramon Schouwenberg Assistant Front Office Manager

Quality hotel close to city centr

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location and the breakfast
Cons: The air conditioning system
Location: Convenient to city centre Vrijhof Square and Andre Rieu concerts. Easy to access tourist sites. City bus tour and river boat trips
Very nice hotel on the riverside good views of the town convenient to town centre and railway station about 10 mins walk Excellent restaurant especially breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only problem was that it was extremely hot when we were in Maastricht over 35 degrees in the day and the rooms on the upper floors were very hot -the air conditioning could not cope. However the hotel provided us with a large fan which helped. We understood that the weather was exceptional. Otherwise the room was very clean and comfortable

Great hotel

Posted Jul 6, 2015
We had a very nice stay here. Easy access to the city centre and our concert venue in the square. We ate out so cannot comment on the restaurant/bar. The staff were extremely helpful, only downside was the air conditioning which did not seem very effective and as it was the hottest weekend on record for Maastricht it was uncomfortable trying to sleep. Overall very enjoyable and would stay there again.

Appearances can be deceptive

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: The staff attentiveness and the location on the river. It is a few minutes walk from the city centre, yet quiet and restful. Free WIFI, which works as
Cons: Nothing, really.
Location: It really depends what you're looking for - but the Maastricht architecture is amazing. More churches than I've ever seen in one place - and all truly
The Crowne Plaza, Maastricht is a 80's-build venue and doesn't look so pretty from the outside. However, the riverside location is beautiful and the rooms are really, really nice. All staff are helpful beyond expectations and given how busy the hotel was when I stayed, that must have been hard work. All credit to them. The rooms are cleaned to a really high spec each day. If your experience is the same, leave a tip for the cleaner at the end of your stay. Maastricht is a beautiful city - the cobbled streets and 15th century buildings are amazing.

Sinta Klaas weekend

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Location and ambience
Cons: The attitude of the bar staff.
Location: Maastricht is a vibrant and happening city.
Reception and Restaurant staff were polite, courteous and helpful. The service and attitude of the bar staff member was well below what is expected. Would stop there again but would be apprehensive about using the bar.

Great place, great hotel.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: The bed was heavenly. We slept so well.
Location: From its location you were within walking distance of the majority of interesting places and a short walk from the station.
A two night stay in a very comfortable hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, with smiles on their faces. Nothing was a problem. The extra cost of a river view room was worth it, especially waking up to a view of the old city and its skyline. Breakfast was an absolute treat to behold, the fresh fruit salad perfect, and delicious coffee.

Hotel In Maastricht

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The hotel was extremely friendly and clean, and explained meal options and advised areas to visit. The food was excellent.
We had a really enjoyable long weekend stay in Maastricht. The hotel is ideally situated within a short walk to the Vrijtof Square across the river, but also just a short walk from the railway station. There are plenty of bars and restaurants surrounding this area to explore, whilst more historic areas are within gentle walking distances. We were attending the Andre Rieu concert, and the hotel had prepared a pre-show 'all you can eat' evening buffet which dealt with the problem of finding a table elsewhere in the City which had welcomed many extra visitors.
