Nice boutique hotel with a couple of quirks
Great room in a great location, easy walk to the main street for delicious Portuguese food, not too far from the casinos. Service was fantastic (we got an extended check out for no additional charge) and the staff were friendly. The room itself overlooked a historic building with the hill on the lighthouse above. The place does have its quirks -- the wifi gets very slow at night -- and more importantly, the basement to this nice, family-friendly boutique hotel happens to be occupied by one of the two legit strip joints in Macau. It was very strange to see shady characters sitting outside the separate entrance to the basement while families were enjoying the banquet room and old ladies were playing mah jong just one floor up. We didn't mind but others might. This wouldn't stop us from returning, though. Overall a good experience -- but we're not squeamish folks.

The property is in a great location near tne top of Guia Hill. There are a series of lifts and walkways that take you from the hotel to the bottom/top of the hill.....But they're not easy to find, however, once you know where they are - they arei nvaluable for getting into the midfle of town. The hotel iteself is quiet and clean and the staff are friendly and speak good english. The roof top garden is nice. The beds are a bit hard for Westerners (but that is the only downside). We will stay there again.

Clean, cozy, comfy!!!
It was unexpectedly good for the relatively cheap price, with a well-organized, efficient and helpful reception staff. The roof garden overlooking the harbour and the lighthouse was a bonus. A good selection of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely choose this hotel if we return.

The stay was pleasant. But many issues with a weak and unstable internet connection which is a real problem if one has to work!

Holiday mode.
Hotel is situation on a hill, takes quite an effort to walk up and the road up is narrow with no foot path at certain section of the road. Need to be extra careful of vehicles driving by. However been on a hill and away from the main road eliminates the traffic noise , very quite environment. Choose this hotel for the quite location.

Walking distance from The Ruins, room is not sound proof, even odd that our room's door is right beside the next room's, perpendicularly placed. TV channels are limited. But overall, our stay was very memorable since it was a family vacation. Room was kept clean and supplies were replenished daily. The doorman always smiled at us too and made us feel welcome.

Great location near Guia lighthouse and ruins of St. Paul's church. Check in went well. Room was exactly as shown in the photos. Two minor quibbles: They hold the 500 MAC$ (US$68) deposit for 15-30 days and the wifi disconnected multiple times. A little tricky to get there as it is near the top of a steep hill, so map it out well ahead of time.

Generally very good. Some noise of chairs been slide around a floor in to the night and early morning which was a bit strange because all rooms carpeted. Maybe emanating from the dining room. I suggest all chairs have felt protectors on the legs to eliminate the nuisance while trying to sleep.

No Casino Hotel
Very peaceful (no Casino) close to Guia Light House and Park where you can enjoy the morning breeze ...Bell service really helpful ...But be ready to have cash on hand...(everything you might need has a deposit e.g. umbrella , cup and saucer etc.)

Great Hotel to Stay in MAcau
Good location but difficult to climb uphill for old folks. It would be great if the hotel provide breakfast and free newspaper daily. Clean housekeeping and polite staffs.Will recommend to friends and relatives.

Hotel Guia MACAU Quiter location on mid Hill area
I like it for the location in the middle of a hill, away from tourist and casino area, but taxi service would only need 20 minutes plus to take you to the area, my room has a good view. 50 meters walk to where local do their walking or jogging, 1700 meters pleasant bush surrounding asphalt track. Local Olympic size swimming pool and indoor sport hall also within 100 meters. There is a good Chinese restaurant in the lobby, free bus to HK Macau Turbo Jet Terminal. Aircon works well, a little cold for March and April weather, my room temperature control could not reach 23 degree where I want. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, I believe it is only 3 to 4 Stars Hotel.

I stayed one night after a business function to avoid the bustle of the large casino areas. I had to leave early the next morning, but I noticed there is a park and lighthouse nearby.

Good budget hotel in quiet neighborhood
Just a regular hotel, nothing fancy but affordable. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, next to the Guia Park (Guia Fortress, Lighthouse and Cable Car. Quite nice to have a walk/jog in the morning. It's hard to get a cab from the hotel to the downtown but it's only 15-20 minutes walk downhill.

Only problem is room not sound proof - a drunkard in the next was making hell of alot noise around nidnight and woke me up. Then he on his TV full blast. Early in the morning, around 5am i was again awaken by slamming of closet dòors and talking. Otherwise it would have been nice stay.

Great place to stay in Macau
The hotel is quite modern with lovely rooms which are bigger than the average I have experienced in Hong Kong. The room had everything we needed including a small selection of drinks and dried noodles etc for snacks. Beware though as all these come with a cost so check the prices before using any of them.

Okay stay with a twist.
Checkin= Okay, with side comments of staff member suggesting to put me on the Red floor. Room= as reviewed online. Complication however of frequent rooms near by was quite busy.... Food= okay outsourced catering. Simply yet over priced lunch box. Check out= not so nice staff asking about my stay rudely. Overall great place for bachelors... Not for Families or children.

Nice view and room was very clean. No complains.
We enjoyed staying in this hotel even though its on a slope. A taxi ride from town is cheap . The 10 minute walk to the city area where the casinos are is interesting . Quite a number of eateries along the way.
