This hotel is old and very tired. The furniture in the room was quite old and run down. We had noisy guests in several rooms around us. We were two snowbirds on our way up north after our winter in FL; we won't be staying here again.

This was just an overnight stay on our way home to Florida. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only gripe is that my wife belongs to Best Western Rewards and we weren't able to get credit for the stay.

Fist off we didn’t realize when booking that there were smoking rooms, so just be aware of that. We booked last minute while on the road and per Expedia there was “1 room left” and all I can think, is that the room really should not be functioning as a paying customer room and that it is used as a “last resort” room. The room stank of stale smoke, there were yellow stains on the walls in various sections of the room, the furniture appeared in poor condition (wood stripped off the wood furniture - just not a great look), there was hair on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom door looked like someone tried to kick it open at one point with a poor spackle job done atop to cover it up. I didn’t even wipe my hands on the towels because I honestly questioned the cleanliness of the towels based on what I was observing. We stayed at a best western in southern Illinois the night prior and had a great experience but I’m really disappointed in the management at this location for allowing such a room to be rented out. That said however, the gal working the night of check in was very sweet and tried to help when I requested to switch rooms, and the morning/breakfast staff were lovely as well. This is really a middle/upper management issue.

Location was good but for $20.00 more I could have stayed in a much nicer place. My room had a musty smell to it. Nothing against it - just an old hotel!!

This property is very worn down. Our toilet did not work well and the staff was not interested in fixing it. We left early.

Great front desk service, however the property was very run down, dated and pretty gross. You were able to hear everything happening in various rooms, including others’ alarms and people walking around in the above room at throughout the night.

Perfect room
We stayed one night the day after Christmas on our way home from Florida. Everything was perfect. I have a hip problem and requested a handicap room on the first floor. We were pleasantly surprised to not only get the perfect room for us, we also got a handicap parking spot right in front of our rooms door! Beds very comfortable!
