Just barely ok

If you need a cheap place to stay for a longer period of time this place is ok. Don't expect much other than the basics. You have to stand in line for clean towels each day that's if someone is at the front desk. If not, you have to call them on the phone and they will come. Room is ok but, maintenance of common areas is lacking. Staff seem disinterested in their jobs.

Apartment type of environment

I was surprised to see that this was more of an apartment complex type of atmosphere, not a stay by the night or week hotel. There were cabinets in our room with no doors on them. There was a refrigerator and very old stove. There was a strange smell. There were kitchen things for sale in the office area. It's probably a great place to stay if you are looking for an apartment complex setting, but as a weary traveler looking for an overnight stay...it was very uncomfortable. There were residents in the office discussing their non pay/slow pay status and other apartment monthly payment type of concerns while I was waiting to check in...at 11:30 pm at night. It was a very uncomfortable situation to stand there and wait for. If you do not pay your weekly/monthly rental you are locked out of your room until you pay your arrears. Sorry, I'm just not used to that type of situation taking place at a pay-by-the-night hotel.

Budget Friendly

Nice room, terrible front desk and communication

Pros: The room was clean and the hotel was in a pleasing area.
Cons: The extremely poor communication from the front desk, the lies I was told, and the complete ignoring from corporate to help resolve the billing issue.
Location: Nice area, with retail, restaurants, and grocery nearby.
I was told I had to pay upfront for my extended stay, and when I said I might not have to stay for the entire time, I was told I would be refunded. I notified the staff 1 week prior to checking out that I would not need the last week of the reservation and was told I would be refunded at check out. Upon checking out, I was told the person I spoke to lied, and the woman at the desk refused to credit me back for the week not used. I asked for the corporate office phone number, and was given a fake number that never answered. I went online with the corporate site and filled out a form, requesting that corporate contact me, and they did not. While the room was clean and what was expected, being mis-charged and lied to makes this a hotel and chain I will never stay at again. Avoid unless you want to be lied to and ripped off.

No frills Motel

Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons: A few simple improvements. Explain to guest how everything works, such as clean linen and no daily service, etc. Also a few dollies that roll wouldl
Location: Location is OK. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, interstate, etc.
This motel has no frills as in no bathroom set ups like shampoo etc., not even kleenex. Just a few towels and you must take used linens to front desk and they will replace with fresh. Rooms are very clean and have fridge, stove top etc. for a longer stay. If you are looking for an economical stay and not a vacation station, this is your place.

We will NEVER again use Woodspring Suites!

We booked this hotel stay for March 24. We arrived at 11pm to check in. There was a man in line to check in too. He was rudely being told that the rooms were double booked & to leave. With sleeping children in our arms & luggage in tow my husband & I inquired about our room. We too were told to leave by an incredibly rude staff. I asked where we were supposed to go very politely (I firmly believe you get more bees with honey). The woman yelled at me saying she didn't know & we should leave. I asked her, if you knew there was a mistake why didn't you call us hours ago. Her response was she just got there & it wasn't her job. We left & stayed at the Hilton instead. I called Expedia the next day & their staff called Woodsping to confirm my story, that I would not be charged for the stay & what compensation Woodspring would offer. The incredibly nice staff at Expedia were able to confirm my complaint & verify that I would not be charged but they too were unable to negotiate any sort of apology or compensation for our trouble. I understand accidents happen but to add insult to injury with such a terrible unapologetic staff is beyond redemption.
