Ok for price !

Posted Jul 19, 2016
Pros: Views from room.close to lido area.
Cons: Decor ! Rooms, breakfast
Location: Up two very steep hills, but, next to lido area, plenty shops, bars etc, bus
Not for the less mobile. Have to be fit to stay here. Very dated, but quite well maintained. Clean .. Part of three hotels inc the Bougainville . Close to lido area. Good views from room. Breakfast , ok. Not enough sun beds though. Pool nice.

The hotel is ok. At an ideal location but sometimes too much noise.

Good hotel

Posted Mar 9, 2016
Cons: It was fine for 3 stars
Location: Near to plenty of restaurants and 3 small supermarkets.
Good hotel, indoor pool was a bonus as the weather was not warm enough for us to try the outdoor pool but it was very pleasant sitting around it on the sun beds, meal at the pool side cafe was good. Bedroom on the 9th floor gave us a good view to the sea and mountains and over the town, beds comfortable, kitchenette adequate. Small balcony but enough for table and 2 chairs, the table was old and plastic was deteriorating but was stable. Access is via a steep hill so you need to be reasonably fit.

Great Location

Posted Feb 11, 2016
Pros: It's clean, the staff are pleasant and the beds are comfy.
Cons: It's a little dated - some of the fittings are a bit tired. But, for the amount we paid I have no complaints.
Location: Only 20 minutes walk from Funchal (Madeira's Capital) with lots of bus stops close by - but not too far into the 'tourist district' so has character.
Madeira is beautiful and the Dorisal hotels are perfectly placed to enjoy it.

NICE HOTEL HANDY FOR THE LIDO

Posted Jan 15, 2016
Pros: LOCATION
Cons: NEEDS A BIT OF REFURBISHING
Location: NEAR THE LIDO AND BUS STOPS TO FUNCHAL. PLENTY OF HANDY RESTAURANTS , SHOPS AND BARS.
STAYED AT THE HOTEL BEFORE . GREAT VIEW FROM THE BALCONY FOR THE NEW YEAR FIREWORKS. SHORT WALK TO THE LIDO. FRIENDLY STAFF AND FREE CAR PARKING.
