HORRIBLE

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Expedia need to be ashamed for even having them on there website. That hotel is garbage the front desk person couldn't help with anything I stayed 2 night and by the second night we already had 3 different rooms the pictures are NOTHING close to what this hotel looks like it's stains and mold on everything housekeeping only spot clean old coffee was left in the coffee pot hair on the blow dryer and when I informed the manager about it he said housekeeping is not told to clean the blow dryers so it's really no telling what else they are told to not clean. Checking in is at 3 pm there were stains on our towels and pillows and when we went to The front desk they told us housekeeping is gone and it's nothing he can do for us it's signs all over the hotel saying no smoking but yet housekeeping and mantainnce are walking around with cigarettes. This needs to be listed as a motel

Old, dirty and stinky

Posted Jun 28, 2017
I've been at Days Inn properties before and it wasn't a terrible experience. So, I decided to stay at the Madison Heights for the weekend. The online pictures looked ok, and I saw the indoor pool with supposedly a free continental breakfast. The second I walked in, I felt weird. Most hotels have this welcoming atmosphere or at least a friendly guest agent greeting you. After I checked in, i walked to the 2nd floor to my room and I literally had to close my noise because of the smell of the dirty and stained carpet. I get to my room and the furniture are old and scratched up. The bed sheets and pillows have an unusual hotel sheets and pillows. The mattress probably has not been changed since the hotel opened up. The pool smells like plastic. I think it's because the excessive amount of chlorine they put in it. There are no towels available. I asked he front desk for towels and I was told, someone will bring them to me. Never got them. The breakfast is open from 6a-9a. By 8a there is nothing left. Besides, all it is 2 kind of toast, a hand full of apples and about 15 yogurt cups and 1 pot of coffee. The trash overflows and you can hardly see any workers, period. While I realize the prices are not designed for a 5 star hotel. I still think that there are a few things a hotel should provide. In summary, my experience at this property tells me this hotel should be a motel style. I think it fits best and guests would know what to expect.

WORST HOTEL EVER

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
I've recentry stayed at this seemingly clean hotel for about 4-5 nights on business, i had a few bumps on my arms but i figured they were common mosquito bites, and on my second to last night I see the BIGGEST BED BUG crawling from beneath my pillow. Immediately I kill it, snap photos and proceeded to inform management. Instead of tackling the issue they told me "Bedbugs are nocturnal, they dont bite in the morning." By this point I'm completely disgusted, and the staff (aka family) are extremely sarcastic and rude. Then management returned 2 minutes later to tell me they cant find the bedbug which i kindly left for them to view on my now bloodied pillow case via the bedbug. So i forward the photos and videos of the bedbug and it's blood on my pillow to hotel email, and after they apologized they said they would give me a free refund. But instead it is now 6 months later and they have ignored all attempts to reconcile my situation. I even reported them to Expedia directly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if my life depended on it.

What a substandard nightmare!

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: Nothing. It is being used as a welfare hotel and venue for prostitution and drug use.
Cons: A refund in full!
The Days Inn and Suites Madison Heights is hidden from view off of 14 mile road. On approach there are people loitering about. The lobby and all common areas had an odor of settled and aging urine and cigarette smoke. The person next to me at the front desk checking in was heavily intoxicated (drug or alcohol not sure) and could not speak. He simply gave one after the other credit card that proceeded to be rejected by the hotel staff as his sad wife and family sat in the lobby behind him. A gentleman looking to be disabled and loitering in front with a cigarette burning suddenly appeared in the lobby with a very sad and downbeat overweight woman. The two proceeded to the common rest room and locked the door. The sad and downbeat woman could be heard through the door in a loud tone, "Now, your just going to have to pull down your pajamas." The room was unkept, smelly, broken mattresses, and lax security. The hall carpets had not been vacuumed in many weeks it appeared! We had no choice but to flee. Upon exiting, the hotel manager wanted specifics on my decision not to stay. I explained that things were in just too much disorder and

Motel doesn't look anything like picture, hallway and stair case are filthy, water doesn't drain, lamps and clock has no power, flickering lights in the room. Breakfast serves toast and couple cereals only.
