Drive in, expecting the quality of maybe a super 8 or motel 6. Nothing against those chains but they are usually cheap for a reason.
The location was hidden in an industrial area south of Madison, WI by about 20 minutes. The neighborhood was nothing to be desired.
Walked into the "office: ( which was just a room with bulletproof glass) to a woman yelling at a customer on the phone, until she realized I was there and then she just hung up on the person.
I received my key to my room, walked in to scope it out. The place was dreadfully hot, the air conditioning was out of my control, the beds had very thin linens and the mattress was as stiff as a board.
The room shook and rattled every time a truck drove by, which could get quite irritating. I walked into the bathroom, the first thing that I noticed is that there was NO SHOWERHEAD, no towels, a dirty sink, and ants. The toilet looked like they purchased it from a prison or public park.
I didn't want to find out about the continental breakfast bar hidden in a strange hallway behind the room.
The whole time I had an overwhelming feeling of disgust and worry about the safety and my vehicle in the parking lot.
after about 20 minutes of contemplating, I dropped the key off to the front office and decided I would rather drive 4 hours back home.
Next time I will look much closer to reviews and photos.
