Stayed here to see a comedy show- had transportation available to and from show- dropped us off at local restaurant after show instead of at hotel (accommodated our request). Nice Starbucks in the lobby for a leisurely coffee in the morning. Wonderful stay.

Very nice and clean hotel and great location. My complain is the dirty foamy hot tub. Also, Parking ceiling is very low for big cars. My trunk hit the ceiling when it opened.

Great stay and feels like it was recently updated. We did have some loud neighbors above us but that can’t be helped by the hotel. Only suggestion is better pillows please. Other than that, the room was lovely and nicely sized and great view of the Capitol!

Efficient staff at the front desk. The bar was open for dining until 10pm in the middle of the week which was convenient. The hotel is clean and safe. The bathrooms are dated but much of the hotel has been updated. The Starbucks right off the lobby is a great perk too. I left my laptop in my room and they put in secure storage. I appreciate the trustworthiness.

Aesthetically pleasing hotel experience, it does have its downsides if you’re looking to get more out of a hotel than just a bed to sleep in. No complimentary breakfast, hot tub was over chlorinated and dirty, pool will give you a chill. The bar/restaurant was dead on a Saturday night, most likely due to Madison having so many other options for dining/entertainment. Room service breakfast was punctual but the food was subpar for the price. When I stay in Madison again, I can say that I would look around for other options for the price point of this hotel. Perhaps the governors club portion is where this hotel shines, however I didn’t think that double the price was worth the upgrade.

Nice location near Capitol square and State St. The staff was very friendly. Room was not entirely clean up check in, but they did send staff to clean it quickly.

Not beautiful on the outside, but very nice inside. A couple blocks from the capitol, easy walk to State Street, a few blocks from Lake Mendota.

The governor's lodge was amazing for evening relaxation. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff was so friendly throughout our stay! We walked to a variety of amazing restaurants and bars around the capital while there.

Was fun to stay here. Specific rooms that are pet friendly and an additional $40 (not with capital view which was disappointing). The pool area is very fun but could have been more thoroughly cleaned, especially the hot tub. Great staff! Parking was reasonable at $18.

I love everything about this hotel. From the front desk to the maintenence staff, some of the best I've seen. Always professional and willing to provide top notch service on every visit. You cant beat the location for entertainment and dining options. My first choice for every visit to Madison

Bedding was comfortable, room too small for our family with older kids. Shower was so strong! Lack of hooks made it hard to hang stuff and towel for reuse. Swimming pool and hot tub was great but got busy on a Friday night with multiple families and little kids running around. Food was great and reasonably priced.
