Old Hotel, it needs a lot of improvementPosted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: It is centrally located
Cons: from A to Z
Location: close to nice places
Not a good one. Corridor and room smell like sewer. Not enough pillows, we asked for more, they never came. They charge 12 euros a day for wi-fi in the room !!!!!!!!!!!!! It's free in the Lobby where you find 2 sofás a 2 chairs only, so you have to sit in the Bar where you have to order something very expensive ! Instead of calling me at 3:15 am they did it at 2:45 ! Really a bad experience !

City centre hotelPosted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: Helpfulness of staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms
Location: Easy access to most places from the hotel, right near metro station stop
Hotel was lovely - staff very friendly and helpful and our room was spot on. Breakfast was also excellent with lots of options. Location of the hotel is a major plus as it is right in the city centre and you can get to pretty much everything in Madrid from it very easily

An oasis in the centre of MadridPosted Sep 24, 2015
We loved our stay here. The hotel was good quality and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The lobby and bar are elegant and lovely and cool on a warm day. We had a standard room and it was perfectly nice; not the most modern as some reviewers have said, but attractive, spacious and clean. We enjoyed the beautiful roof terrace and swimming pool the most. There were always sun loungers available and the views were spectacular. It was such a peaceful contrast to the very busy location at street level which felt like the best of both worlds. The only negative for us was the 12 EUR daily charge for WiFi. It was only free in the lobby so like everybody else we ended up loitering there with our phones on the way in and out. Also we thought breakfast was on the expensive side. Overall it was a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book again if we return to Madrid.

Hotel with great amenitiesPosted Sep 24, 2015
Grand old dame of a hotel. Centrally located, although the Gran Via is very busy with tourists. Hotel is old-school but clean and well appointed. The rooms are small (as is typical in Europe), but very comfortable. The biggest bonus is the awesome rooftop pool and lounge area. Great views of the city – and a lovely, albeit freezing, pool.

Lovely old hotel . Been many timesPosted Aug 28, 2015
This is first time I booked this hotel through you. On arrival was given the worst room ever. Had to pay extra for an outside window. The room provided by you was so small there was no room to put down the suitcase. Breakfast is adequate and the roof pool a welcome delight

Sentralt beliggende byhotellPosted Aug 21, 2015
Cons: Tilgang på internett bør forbedres. Det bør være gratis overalt, ikke bare i lobby
Hyggelig, gammeldags hotell med gode, store rom. Minner litt om Bristol/Continental i Oslo

Best pool area everPosted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: The pool
Cons: Price of drinks so guests use the bar
Location: Gran via, place de ciballes, place de sol
Myself and my friend stayed here in august and loved this hotel. Friendly staff and lovely comfortable rooms. Really nice bar area also. Best thing about it and the reason we booked it was because of the pool. You can see all of Madrid from the rooftop pool. Really big pool area very clean. My only complaint was that the drink prices were too expensive double/triple the bars outside so hardly anyone drinks in the bar which was shame

Cons: No WiFii in room
Location: Shopping and eat out
It's okay, not great. Disappointed no WiFii in room if this is 4 star hotel.
