Nice hotel with good breakfast

Posted Jun 13, 2017
Pros: Good breakfast, nice staff.
Cons: Faster checking, waiting 2 hours for our room. Comfortable beds and pillows better ac.
Location: Great location with everything you may want nearby. Shopping, restaurants and sightseeing within walking distance.
Nice hotel with a great location, lots of shopping and restaurants all round. Room was clean and good with a few exceptions which are: hard bed felt like sleeping on a cement slab, flat pillows need 2 extra to be able to sleep, ac shuts off automatically and you cant control it through the control box. Leading to hot nights and staff could not help with that.

nice hotel!

Posted May 27, 2017
Nice hotel, nice restaurant with tapas, good service and quick, simple check in and check out. Hotel is around the corner from opera metro and plaza Isabella II. Also not far from gran via shopping and restaurants. I stayed in a single room, so there were no frills (I did enjoy the sauna though). I also had the daily breakfast at hotel opera: not bad...I would stay there again and I would recommend!

Hotel close to the Palace

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: Room was tidy, big bathroom and breakfast was good.
Cons: The visitor area was a bit tight
Location: Close to the Gran Via and the palace was easy walking distance.
Front desk staff was helpful, the street could be noisy at night, good for a stop over.

Beware single rooms

Posted May 10, 2017
A friend and I each booked a single room. They were nice enough except that there was hardly room to swing a cat. Luckily the weather was good and we barely used our rooms except to sleep. But we couldn't both have been in one of the rooms and the hotel has no communal area.

Very central, try to get a room on the top floor

Lovely hotel and great service, get a room on the top floor if you think the sound of the metro going under the hotel will bother you

Centrally located hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: The room was a little bit on the small side.
Location: The Royal Palace, San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Puerto del Sol are all within a 10min walk. Many good restaurants are nearby.
I would highly recommend Hotel Opera to anyone wishing to visit Madrid. It is ideally located for walking to most of the main tourist attractions, the Royal Palace is just a 5 minute walk and the Prado Museum about 20-25 minutes away. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the facilities were all good. The rooms were a little bit on the small side but adequate and spotless. When returning to Madrid, I will certainly be booking the Hotel Opera again.

Hotel Opera is excellent value for money

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Hotel Opera is a fantastic hotel in the heart of Madrid. The majority of must see tourist attractions are only a 5 to 15 minute walk away. The hotel is modern and very clean and the hotel staff are exceptionally nice, especially the manager Daniel. I highly recommend for anyone thinking of visiting Madrid. How to get there: The hotel is only a 20 minute car ride from the airport (taxis charge a flat 30 euro fee)
