Pros: Excellent staff.
Location: Excellent for the tube. there is loads to do in a lovely city.
The hotel is very well positioned and very close to the Metro station (the Metro system is brilliant). The staff were excellent -lovely and welcoming and the hotel was clean and modern in style (if you like that sort of design). My one criticism is that our room overlooked the street and as we stayed on a Saturday night, the noise outside in the street was terrible until a little before 5a.m. If I went back, I would ask for a room not overlooking the outside.

Dear Mark, Thanks a lot for your feedback. We are really happy you have enjoyed your and we kindly appreciate your suggestions to improve the comfortability in the room. According to the noise in the street, due we are in the very down town, sometimes, at night, Santa Barbara square is not as quiet as usual, so if you prefer a super quiet room I recommend you to request on your next booking a room to courtyard, is as comfortable as the exterior ones, and absolutely noiseless. Kind regards María Santos Front desk Manager

Good location

Pros: Location. We were on the top floor and it was quiet. Inside and especially the bathroom is modern, arty. Helpful staff. Windows actually open.
Cons: Air con was a bit difficult to control. Powerful fan directed to bed. But windows open which was good.
Location: Very central, maybe 30 mins walk to centre but it's an interesting walk, good for both ends of the city.
Interesting walk to Gran Via etc. down busy street with many cafes, bars and small shops. Hotel is very modern but with interesting old features like the staircase. Open air bar area is also interesting. Very helpful staff.

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff. Good area.
Location: Location a mix of nearby nice coffee and snack cafes where many young people sit & talk in the evenings. Also near slightly different 'Soho' type Rd
Excellent hotel in interesting area. Welcomed at reception by friendly manager. Comfortable, quiet and clean room with large bathroom. Reception staff friendly and helpful, (especially Isobel who took time to book us Prado admission tickets). Aircon very efficient. Nice terrace and bar (excellent large g&ts there). Breakfast nice (but pricey as with all hotels). Would certainly recommend for short or long stay. Metro an easy walk but longer to find the tourist bus stop. (A must to get idea of town). Many taxis if needed.

Ideal location for exploring Madrid

Fantastic hotel with helpful and very friendly staff. Ideal location for exploring beautiful Madrid on foot. Breakfast is expensive but the cafes in the square outside offer a handy and more economical alternative. Metro is only a few yards away so taking the tube from the airport is very straightforward. Rooms are clean and I love the focus on tech. Laptops are provided free of charge and wi-fi is quick. Really enjoyed our stay and we will use this hotel in future.

Lovely boutique hotel

Pros: Location, beautifully renovated
Cons: Nothing
Location: Madrid is on your doorstep - restaurants, art galleries, museums, shopping
Petit Palace Santa Barbara was a great place to stay. Being 100m from the nearest metro was very useful for arrival and departure. But the hotel was also close to the city centre and we were able to walk everywhere. It was a quieter area off the main streets and that also made for a more relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Pros: Staff very efficient, hotel quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom
Location: A good walk to the centre.
Your website information needs updating, you stated that there was coffee and tea in the lobby and free daily newspapers, which there isn't. I booked on the basis of the availability of tea and coffee!! This is not the fault of the hotel but your website description of the hotel amenities.

Stayed at room 304, junior suite, for just 1 night. There was a terrible sewage smell coming from the toillet's sink difficult to live with and forcing me to keep the windows open.
