This hotel is located in the heart of Madrid. If you want convenience this is the place to be. The hotel is not the ritz so be prepared for an experience that is communal—the walls are paper thin. The staff is dear and quite helpful, at the front desk or at the breakfast.

The property is old and the room are not the biggest the carpet is not the cleanest but located in a great place next to everything walking distance, the stuff was amazing

Una experiencia espantosa. Solo la unicacion es buena , todo el resto lamentable. La calefaccion no anduvo casi nunca , faltaba papel hig muchas veces y demoraban mucho en reponer.

the property is in a fantastic location, I only have 2 issues, one is the air condition in the room, you can only change calling reception, it was a hazel and the room was very warm. The other is the breakfast, average to poor. not many options and they will not do eggs depending on your preference. For the prize, 30.00 euros is way too expensive.

Overpriced and uncomfortable. While the hotel has an excellent roof top bar and restaurant, that is the only good thing I can say about this property. The lobby borders on chilly, but the rooms have poor air circulation - could not get a fan going and the temperature was high the entire time we were there - even after asking for someone to look at it, which never happened. I have never been to jail/prison, but I imagine that the beds there would be similar to at this hotel. I had to place the xtra blankets on the bed so as to not feel the springs on my back. Do not recommend!

Not a four star hotel. Good location - just off the Gran Via. But the fit out is tired Bathrooms fittings and fixtures loose, leaking and spraying. Can’t control room temperature from the room Perfectly fine- but poor value for the room charge

Our room was not what we expected. It was much smaller than we thought it would be, which wasn’t the biggest issue. The carpets were visibly dirty and we felt like we couldn’t walk on them freely. The pillows were bad for the neck. The beds were pretty comfortable though. The shower and bathroom was nice, large rain shower was the best part. The rooms are not soundproof. The worst part is that the room smelled like cigarettes and it felt like we couldn’t breathe in there. The location of the hotel is great though, no complaints with that.

Nice hotel with friendly staff
Lovely hotel in a great location with nice facilities. Sadly missing a gym which we would expect in a 4* hotel and the pool seemed dirty with no loungers around it as it was set up for dining options which is fine but it was not a relaxing area. They also should, in our opinion, provide towels for guests at the pool or allow you to use those from the room. Not major criticisms and we had a lovely stay we just thought we would mention these things as suggestions for the future and to keep in mind. The staff were lovely and accommodating and I would probably stay again for the location and the rooftop bar and pool views so definitely worth staying.

Great Walkable Location Near Airport
I chose this hotel for being in a walkable area, near Via Grand yet in close proximity to airport (20 minute cab ride). The hotel's facade is lovely to look at a distance when all lit up. Easy check-in, very helpful staff. Would stay again for a night or two if given a room closer to main elevators. I was traveling solo and the wing I was staying in has to be accessed by another elevator tucked away from the main area. The room was clean enough but some minor repairs needed such as peeling ceiling (very old hotel so that wasn't a big deal). The carpets in corridor were in dire need of a deep clean. Unfortunately, dirty carpeting on top of the long, desolate corridors gave me a creepy vibe. I liked Hotel Santa Domingo overall but dont expect a modern, newly furnished 4 star hotel. Also, I'd highly suggest making a reservation for their rooftop dining on terrace overlooking the city. I was disappointed that the hostess in main lobby informed me they had no seating available..at all. Fortunately, there are dozens of restaurant choicea nearby.

The location was perfect just a minute from Gran Via and the shops with plenty of restaurants, cafe/bars. The suite was very spacious with a good large panoramic window in the lounge a d king size bed in bedroom with a balcony and a lovely en suite bathroom. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay at the hotel and Madrid.

The hotel is quite conveniently located in the heart of Madrid, you can walk anywhere from there. Breakfast is good. Room facilities are nice (although light switches were confusing). You will be charged for premium internet in your room, and it's not worth it, it stops working many times.

i was very excited for this hotel out of the five hotels i booked in spain, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. room was very small and tight for 3 small guests would not be comfortable for large men. cleaning staff was loud banging walls at 6am each day, walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, hotel is very dated, great area shopping dining very close by, drinks in roof top bar were expensive in comparison, other hotels were much better for price

El hotel no es nada de lo que ponen por internet , adentro todo es viejo está en pésimas condiciones no hay privacidad. Se siente todo en las habitación cuando las personas hablan en los pasillos , cuando hablan en la habitación del lado , mi habitación estaba más que sucia y la alfombras huelen súper mal .La habitación me la habían acabado de entregar el piso del baño lleno de pelos , el lava maños sucio y las esquinas de las bañadera sucias. Me costo demasiado caro para lo malo que estaba

Great location. We got a room with a view of the amazing hanging garden, that was great. Clean and comfortable. Needs some paint; I guess white walls are not easy to maintain. Other small thing is that they need to provide body lotion. I don’t recommend breakfast in the hotel since across the street is the best “cafe con leche” and tortilla española ever, for a lot cheaper. Over all I will stay there again; this is actually my second time there.

The dirtiest Hotel I’ve been to. I saw the room and left instantly. The bathroom had hairs on the sink and mold on the bathtub. The carpet reeked. It looked like the room hadn’t been dusted in years. I was scared to even remove my shoes.
