Very basic amenities and hotel but helpful staff.

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: staff, location
Cons: nicer amenities
The staff was really helpful and I needed to be in that area but other than that not an ideal hotel. Decent for what you're paying though; paying for a clean and basic room and bed and bathroom.

Good value

Posted Dec 17, 2016
This hotel is conveniently located for Metro stations, being no more than a 10 minute easy walk from one of two that are nearby. Being a capital city, Madrid has lots of road traffic. However, unlike other capitals (e.g. Rome), pedestrians are considered a priority here with ample well-timed crossings and large pedestrianised spaces. This hotel is within easy walking distance of major tourist attractions. There is a small but modern lift and the overall decor of the hotel is clean and modern. The room was spacious, clean and properly serviced each day. My room opened out into a private balcony with a view of the main road below. There was plenty of natural light. The air-conditioning worked well although my stay was in December when the ambient temperature is comfortable anyway. The flat-panel TV worked fine. This showed terrestrial digital channels and included the one English-speaking channel, CNN. The bathroom was not pristine but it did not feel unclean. There was a bath with a shower and the adjustable shower head was on a flexible hose for ease of use. Hot water was always available though probably because of particularly variable relative hot and cold water pressure, my shower could go up/down in temperature very suddenly. Not a serious problem but not ideal either. Sound-proofing was acceptable although it's a fact of life that there will be selfish guests staying in the hotel who feel compelled to slam rather than close their door! Overall, a good hotel.

Good hotel with nice people.

Posted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: TV should have English channels for tourists.
Location: Shopping mall close. Close to metro station. Pretty convenient generally.
It was generally good. Nothing to complain about. If anything, I would like to have more english tv channels. I mean there was only CNN, the only english channel. Everything else was spanish which is a bit challenging for people who don't speak spanish language.

Excellent position

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Superb location
Cons: Amenities within the bedroom; breakfast & command of English
Location: Apart from proximity to Metro stations plenty of local shops!, cafés etc
Tremendous location within few minutes walk of 3 metro stations, banks other local amenities as well as being only a gentle 30 minute or so down-hill walk into the city centre. Comfortable bedroom. Room safe required insertion of 1 euro each time it was secured and neither tea/coffee facilities or fridge. Overall good value but very few staff ,although friendly, spoke English. Breakfast very limited with an apple being the only fruit on offer and orange juice the only juice.

Perfect for the price

Posted Dec 30, 2014
For the price 44/night this is a perfect hotel. The metro (quevedo or igkesias station) takes you to the city center in a couple of minutes. Cant beat it. There is also a lot of good tapas bars and restaurants around. Breakfast at the hotel, not recommended. Wifi works but it is intermitent at times.

Not Bad For The Price

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: It is centrally located between two metro stations within a block. There are many local shopping establishments nearby. Priced decently for Madrid.
Cons: If the plumbing could be somewhat silenced it would be a major plus. The front desk could be a little warmer in their initial greeting.
Location: A 20 min walk to El Sol market place which can be a great experience. Also not far from the financial district.
It was an average hotel. The cleaning staff was very friendly and proficient. Front desk staff not warm and fuzzy but that is not very uncommon in Madrid. One drawback is that bathroom door is to remain closed in order not to hear everybody flush and bathe from the floors above. Hotel is nicely located just out of the center of town and there are many eating establishments close by.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Madrid - quiet neighborhood, about 20 minutes walk away from the center of town, with lots of cervecerías and cafés within a block or two of the establishment.

Perfectly situated hotel !!

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Clean and tidy !
Location: Everything is close via the Metro. Multi day passes are available as you enter the metro from the airport !!
I booked a single room for 4 nights and was really pleased with my choice. The ream was clean, tidy with everything you would expect. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is located fairly centrally and is close to 3 metro stations. If you are feeling energetic most of the sights are within 30mins !! I didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food !

Close to main metro lines

Posted May 21, 2014
One night stop over in Compact Single room top floor with nice street balcony view. Hotel not far walk to metro line 1 (blue) with lifts or close to line 2 (red) stairs only. both short journey into Sol and other station in centre of tourist area, also close to change to line 8 if going airport.
