Pros: The room was Very clean and tidy
Location: 20 minutes walk to the football stadium
The Reception staff were a little unfriendly to be honest, I didn't feel the staff behind the desk had any customer service skills. Very poor front of house But the room was 5star

Good central location

Pros: good size rooms and amenities
Cons: decor is dated and no USD charging points
Location: Near Santiago Bernabau stadium
The Melia Castilla is a very nice hotel. Well located, nice size rooms and great amenities. However the rooms are a little dated and would benefit from an upgrade. Also recommend trying the Alburra restaurant which is attached to the hotel - spanish food at its best!

Convenient hotel for meeting

Beautiful hotel

It was out dated however it was a great hotel. Felt very safe in the neighborhood the bus stop was only a few blocks away. Breakfast buffet was decent. Only complaint is when checking out they charged me for drinks out of the mini bar. I did have 2 cokes and 3 waters however they charged me for food and snacks that I didn't get they also tried to charge me for drinks at the bar in which I paid for when I got the drinks. $50 euros is to much for 2 sodas and 3 waters but like I said we really enjoyed the hotel

All the comforts a great price

The hotel lobby is spacious and lively with a variety of bars and lounges. The restaurant downstairs is wonderful and gave me a discount for hotel guests. The rooms are very comfortable although a bit of sound does carry from next door. There is no reason to pay more to stay somewhere else; the metro is great in Madrid and you can be downtown in about fifteen minutes.
