Excellent location

You are literally across the street from the Prado Museum! The hotel is perfectly fine, just not great. The room was big enough as was the bath. Actually the shower pressure was excellent. However, the walls are very thin or it's just the noisiest hotel ever! You could hear from rooms next store and above. The buffet breakfast was very good and they would even offer you treats fresh from the oven. The staff was very friendly, but had some difficulty communicating in English which is pretty unusual for reception staff in Europe. Luckily the person could defer to the other staff member who was fluent. So, noisy hotel, but would definitely stay here again because the location was perfect!!

good location, good value

Pros: Price, comfort, staff, value for money, location, felt safe.
Cons: The bell to signal the arrival of the lift/elevator was too loud.
Location: Very close to the art museums, walking distance of Atocha station.
Everything was as expected. I had asked for the room to be made up as a triple and it was. TV had disney channel for the kids. Super close to the Prado and lots of nearby restaurants. Helpful staff. Reasonable selection for breakfasts. Pleasing decor. The wi-fi worked. I stayed with my two children for a city break and it met our needs well.

A great find

Pros: Modern design without being minimal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sweet little balconies. A 5 minute walk to the main attractions and parks.
Cons: Wifi hit and miss. Very thin walls but understandably little can be done about that. Extended check out would be useful.
Location: A few minutes from the bus terminal where hop on hop off buses depart and city tours. Great location.
A modern hotel, tucked up a side street, but in a perfect location for a visitor who wants to explore the attractions without being in the bustle.

Unfortunate thin walls; heard noise above our room. During our 4 day stay, the bath gel in shower tub combination was not refilled. We had to request a refill. Staff was great and helpful. More work is needed to meet customer expectations about basic needs for room. Thank you

frühstück wenig auswahl verglichen mit grossen mercure und novotel.kleiner frühstücksraum. Nächstes mal wieder Novotel!!!!!!

Art and art breaks

I had a layover of less than 24 hrs. and wanted to maximize my time in art museums. I walked to the Thyssen and Reina Sofia, and liked being able to pop into the room and rest between visits. Buen Retiro was close enough to fit it in too, and of course, the Prado entrance is virtually across the street. They allowed me to check in early, which was an asset. The only flaw was that the desk worker didn't approve me for WiFi and I had to go ask about it, and later in the day I had to call again as I had been kicked off; both times the problem was fixed in seconds.
