The appartments appear to be in a newly refurbished block. The decoration is modern and the appartment contains all fairly basic furniture, quite minimalist. On the plus side the appartment was really spacious, we had the double deluxe appartment. Everything was in good condition as the appartment appears newly refurbished.
Things that could be improved - no microwave which is a surprise for a self catering appartment, and an inconvenience when travelling with kids.
The main problems though are related to noise. First the bedrooms have no doors, the layout is open plan. Inconvenient when travelling with kids and you want to stay up later than them. Secondly the noise from the communal areas was really bad, there is almost no sound proofing from the main door and there seems to be a ventilation shaft where all the noise from inside the flats travels up through. The main external door to the appartments is very very loud and the constant noise of it slamming shut was extremely annoying and would wake me up in the night. Some signs in the corridor telling people to keep the noise down and not to slam the door might help a bit, unfortunately people seemed to hang out in the communal areas shouting up and down to each other.
I had to sleep with ear plugs and am not sure I would have slept otherwise. There was also noise from the street from all the bars, something to bear in mind at weekends.
All in all, a spacious flat but I wouldn't return due to the noise.
