A Pleasant Stay at Hotel Samos (Oct 2017)Posted Oct 19, 2017
On arrival at the hotel we were given a 1st floor room overlooking a low level roof which was totally unacceptable for our 1 week visit, however, after speaking with the hotel receptionist they kindly allocated us a 2nd floor room the next day which gave us a pleasant view of the pool area. Although the rooms were basic they were well maintained, spotlessly clean & the bedding & towels were changed everyday. The restaurant was very good with a varied selection of food with wine & sangria available at no extra cost. The pool area was very spacious & there were plenty of beds available with bar snacks & drinks being served daily by the excellent bar staff. The evening entertainment was superb. The dance troupe on Thursday were fantastic & the Cuckoo Band provided a great Modern Irish theme on their night. The hotel was close to the local amenities & only a short walk to the beach. The staff were very helpful & friendly with our only concern being the use of the courtesy room prior to our departure which was unavailable due to the selfishness of others who took far too long to change. Would suggest that if you have a late departure to pay the extra €30 & keep the room for the day. All in all the hotel was very nice & good value for money. Would strongly recommend the Hotel Samos to anyone visiting Magaluf for a short break. A Big Thank You to all the management & staff for making our visit an enjoyable experience.

Great hotelPosted Oct 13, 2017
Last minute bed and breakfast stay in October. Hotel has been modernised over the last couple of years. All staff, especially reception, very friendly and helpful. Bedrooms cleaned and new towels every day. Nice walk in shower and sliding door to bathroom giving an open feel with more room. Breakfast food was very good, usual British and continental, but always fresh and hot. Plenty of seating. Other main meals seemed as good from what we could see but didn't use. Different coloured wrist bands to show what board the guest is paying for, so staff on the dining room door checking. Possible to upgrade for a cost. Pool area quite large but looses the sun a bit more at this time of the year. Great position as you have the main Magaluf beach in front and Palma Nova beaches a short walk away. Plenty of bars and restaurants and 'the strip' if you want a lively night. All the main clubs close in the middle of October so it is an ideal time for the 'older' tourists to visit. First time visit but would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel close to the beach and nightlifePosted Oct 4, 2017
Had a chilled out stay at this hotel, even though of its situation, stayed Sunday to Friday In September so it wasn't full of stag and hen dos, the clientele was very mixed, we booked half board originally but upgraded to all inclusive for £16 a day, which was well worth it as the food is excellent, didn't go out once which we entended to do, the food in magaluf is either cheap cafes and takeaways or high end on the beach front which is lovely but only went for drinks as we we're only having a cheap break, hotel Samos ticked all the boxes a bit sceptical coming to magaluf of its reputation but you don't need to go to the strip, walked to Palma nova a couple of evenings. Weather was fantastic for this time of year, I would definitely recommend Hotel Samos they had a lot of returning quests which says it all.

Been 3 times before ideal stay for a long weekend, foods good and worth taking the hotel up on the all inclusive the hotel bar could do with being a little bit quicker but all in all a good place to stay
