Claim due to cancelled booking by Sol Wave
My confirmed and paid hotel stay was cancelled by hotel. Only upon arrival we were told that booking was cancelled. I had 3 flights before this, a total of 23h of travel, and received no support whatsoever to find other hotel. Hotels.com has returned money now, but I hereby demand that Sol Wave pay for our stay 1520€, and that Hotels.com manage this claim with the hotel, as Hotels.com has choosen to establish partnership with wrong and poor quality hotel and should therefore assume responsability. I expect for this claim to be paid to me within October 2023.

Terrible stay BROKEN BED
Terrible hotel. I was given room with 2 beds and 1 of the beds was totally broken. There was big hole in it and my spine hurted after the night spent in that bed. My wife slept in other bed was ok. After the night I have complained to reception about it and demanded some kind of refund but was given just sorry. That is unacceptable for 4 star hotel and the price I paid almost 130 euros!! Bed is a basic most important thing in hotel room and I payed 130 euros for what? For sleeeping in broken bed?? If I knew I would have chosen hostel instead. Shame on this hotel and the way how they treat the customers. Zero compensation for uncomfortable stay. Dont stay in this hotel. Choose better onea in Mallorca. They dont deserve customers if they dont have basic manners how to refund customers for such a situations.

We stayed here for 3 nights and while the hotel was ok, the area surrounding the hotel was full of primarily souvenir shops and British pub type food at the restaurants. The room was fine - nice view of the beach.

Rooms are spacious with lovely sea view The place is always very clean Location is perfect Staff are really friendly , very helpful and hard working . Breakfast is amazing , dinner is nice but can be a bit better . Area around enterance doesn't match what is inside the hotel , but not a big deal. Really enjoyed my stay and will comw again for sure God willing .

Nice stay away
Very good stay and clean hotel. Was very quiet for obvious reasons but all the staff were very friendly. Only gripe is €55 for a Bali bed. These are not even reduced for paying customers.

Property had two lifts which was belong to second world war, very old, was making bad noise and capacity for two persons only. There was always bad smell in bathroom but hotel staffs and location was great

Enjoyed the views, pool and beach. The hotel had a very nice restaurant attached to it which made it easy for dinner. Did not enjoy that the hotel did not have ice machines for guests. Paid for the ocean view front house, but got the side view. King bed consisted of two UNCOMFORTABLE double beds pushed together.

I liked the closeness of the hotel to the beach and the surrounding restaurants and shops. I really liked the view from my room with frontal sea view I did not like the fact that the wave machine was not working and sometimes it was noisy at night due to young people(probably drunk) partying in the nearby clubs on the strip.(this is not a fault of the hotel however)

Nice hotel and location
The hotel itself was pretty clean and basic, queues to check in and check out, for the price I would have expected a little more overall. Good location though and great pool etc.

The location is amazing. Pools all close too early, at 6pm. The walls are very thin, so don't plan on getting much sleep. They do not seem to have noise restrictions.

Great hotel
This is a fantastic hotel in a great location for the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel is decorated to a high standard and is very clean. All bedrooms are very spacious and offer everything you need and much more such as a little kitchenette. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying there again next year.

Very disappointing!
I have stayed at the sol wave on a number of occasions before and always enjoyed it but I was hugely disappointed with this trip. I had specifically booked a sea view and was given a room overlooking buildings and generators. You could see the sea if looked around the corner. The most disappointing thing was how the hotel dealt with this. The person on reception was very rude and unhelpful. We eventually got moved but told we were “lucky” others hadn’t booked in yet. The room was in the majestic section of the hotel and really not of the same standard as the rest of the hotel. The pool area and amenities were all great and we had a great holiday but I would be very reluctant to use this hotel again. The level of service and professionalism is poor with most guests walking away from the reception frustrated or unhappy with the service.

I wouldn't recommend this Hotel for the price paid
Not a real a 4 star in my opinion. It may look nice in the pictures but up close it is rather disappointing old building. Some of the rooms are privately owned - you can see "for sale" signs hanging from the balconies. Plus its main selling point the wave pool is charged extra and open to anyone. Positives: Right in front of the beach. The rooms are very spacious. Close to clubs if you want to party. I didn't. Negatives: The room wasn't that clean - especially the floors. There was a big gap under my doors so l could hear all the noise from the hall. Especially annoying in the morning when you hear the trolleys being wheeled by the maids. Bad food. Not much variety and I had an upset stomach on the second day after the buffet breakfast. I had a small water bottle with me when I went for a buffet dinner and I was told by one of the staff that I can't drink that here. Really? I paid a lot for the room and half board and you gonna try to force me to buy your overpriced water at the buffet? Not cool. I would get it if it was a proper restaurant but the place looked like a cheap canteen and the guy was wearing shorts. After 3 nights I've moved to another Melia hotel - Calvia Beach. This one I sincerely recommend - a real 4star also at the beach front. It's far classier experience for a similar price.

Sol wave is the best hotel i have ever stayed at . Breakfast and dinner was excellent. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. I will come back to Mallorca just to stay in this hotel.

Do not book for October half term
Booked the hotel for October half term , wish I had not , it was to close on 31 st October, so both restaurants were already closed , supermarkets closed water sports closed , all we had was a room and a very exspencive breakfast £12 per head and £6 for children , not included in the cost , but hotel was ok .

Party hotel- must wear earplugs!
We wish we would have really consider the other reviews prior to booking for a family vacation. There are so many other areas on the island worth staying at. This area is a loud, college like party house. Thankfully the hotel upgraded is to an area in the hotel away from the bars but it still wasn't enough to not get woken up in the middle of the night by loud party people screaming and yelling. The hotel was nice. We will carefully reads reviews prior to booking now.

Super fun hotel. Comfortable and clean.
So many things to do and good places to eat within walking distance. Staff was very friendly. The room was AMAZING! Large, clean, modern, and comfortable. It is right on the strip so you will here the music of the city. It didn't kill our vibe tho. Even on nights we stayed in, the noise was ok.

Nice hotel close to the beach
Hotel was fine, staff were okay and the room was very nice. Nice views of the sea from the balcony. The only issue I had was the level of noise from the god awful clubs beneath the hotel. Pack some earbuds if you value sleep.
