Comfortable hotel, good for familiesPosted Sep 19, 2017
Pros: Size of room, location, breakfast included, big, airy atrium.
Cons: The furnishings are spare and somewhat dark. A couple of more pieces of wall art would add a lot to the ambience of the room.
Location: You're in the heart of downtown Chicago with all that it has to offer.
I stayed here September 2017 while attending a conference at the nearby Sheraton (they were sold out). Like all Embassy Suites, the room is good-sized, with a separate bedroom and sitting area, which has a sofabed The bed is very comfortable, the sofa is a lot more comfortable than it looks. You can tell that, to keep the room at a moderate pricepoint, they didn't spend much on decorating the room and kept the furnishings to a minimum. That's ok with me - but the accommodations come across as a bit Spartan. The included breakfast is a nice touch. It's fairly basic, but has enough variety for a family. There are good restaurants nearby and the shopping district of Michigan Avenue is just a couple of blocks away. Getting to O'Hare by public transit is easy - a bus on the corner takes you to the blue line. Figure on an hour for the trip. The desk in the sitting room is a good size for work and has a couple of outlets for all the electric devices.

Nice hotel. Good location for getting around on foPosted Sep 2, 2017
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast is crazy. The omelette line is insane and every day there was confusion to what your order was. Room itself was nice and clean. Bathtub wasn't great. Patched up. I wasn't impressed that you don't get your Hilton Honor points when you book through a third party such as Expedia.

The hotel room was nice and spacious with having 3 young children with me. My husband and I were disappointed in the size of the pool, it got very crowded easily, with being a busy tourist city you would think the pool would be a little bigger. We were also disappointed in the complimentary breakfast. The Buffett had the same options every day. Yes it had an area where you could have an omelette made or different kinds of eggs, however you have to have a lot of patience to wait in the long lines and with 3 young children waiting in line wasn't an option. It would of been nice to have different options on the Buffett with staying there for 5 days.

The location and price is great but the room is not very nice. Room was not clean and you could see dust on the bed stand. The room needs remodeling because there is wear and tear on the walls and corners. The rooms are noisy and the breakfast is very crowded.

It was okPosted Aug 30, 2017
I did not get to use the facility because of the length of my stay, but the room was nice. Parking was very expensive.

Embassy's normally good, stay away from this onePosted Aug 30, 2017
We waiting in line 1/2 hour just to check in, could not get anyone to answer the phone at the front desk (when we called from our room) so had to come downstairs and waited at the concierge desk for 5 minutes - no one ever came. All I needed was a razor and some more shampoo! We also had to wait a long time for a bellman just to store our luggage (before we checked in). This Embassy did not take care of its customers, like we are used to at other Embassy's. Other than the service the facility was very nice and breakfast was right up to par!
