Good Hotel Within Walking Distance of Attractions

Posted Jul 22, 2017
Had city-view room on high floor. Corridors were quiet, making it easy to get a good nights' sleep. Breakfast bar always well-stocked. The staff were all very friendly and one in particular was a standout...the lady who ran the breakfast bar, Ismeta. She went above and beyond by making sure everyone was served no matter how close to breakfast bar closing time. Helped keep waffle line moving by making food for everyone, personally made sure to find tables for all who came through her breakfast bar. Made us feel like family and prioritized everyone...Ismeta was simply amazing. Just a minor fix on hotel side would be helpful: the pool is on 27th floor with beautiful views, but was in cloudy condition. Overall the hotel is in great condition and conveniently located to walk or catch train to Field Museum Campus, up to Lincoln Park, or out to the beach for a day. This was a great hotel choice for our family.

Perfect Stay!

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to so many great bars, about 1 mile from Navy Pier and close to subway stops....great location.
Nice hotel close to the Red Line to go to Cubs games. Very large rooms at good prices. Staff was extra helpful.

Pros: Location
Cons: The free breakfast is absolutely horrible. We ended up going out the second morning. They would be better off not offering the free breakfast.
Great location, nicely maintained, very comfortable bar and lobby area.

perfect location for shopping

great room, larger than most. I especially like the parking access. You can park and go directly to front desk without going to street level.

Weekend in the Windy City

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Food served at the bar and the drinks were good also. Nice first impression. Bellman and taxi services was excellent.
Cons: 1. Sliding closet door was off track. 2. Swimming Pool was small. 3. Expected a larger restaurant area (considering two hotels combined).
Location: Perfect location to experience anything that downtown Chicago has to offer. Dinning, shopping and attractions.
Perfect location for visits to Shedd Aquarium and Navy Pier.

Great location; worn down hotel

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: The location and the breakfast room
Cons: The worn out room furnishings
Location: There are tons of restaurants and bars nearby
The staff at the hotel are great. The breakfast room woman was amazing, and very helpful for my elderly mother. The room was very cramped with furniture and difficult to move through to get to the bathroom. The carpet was worn and old. MInimal blankets and pillows for the fold out couch.

The woman in charge of the breakfast is exceptional! She is the reason we keep coming back. With so many hotels to choose from that says a lot about her. She most definitely comes to mind when we think about where to stay.

Great Sister Trip!

Posted May 17, 2017 on Hotels
Close to almost everything if you don't mind a little walk. Less than 10 min walk to the "L" and great restaurants & touristy spots. Room set up like most other Residence Inns, with all the amenities. I appreciate the 24hr gym hours.
