“Disappointing One-Night Stay at La Quinta Morgantown, WV Great location, but housekeeping was seriously lacking. Check-in was easy and the front desk clerk was courteous. Unfortunately, things went downhill once we entered the room. There was an unpleasant odor, and the previous guests had left their leftovers in the fridge. The shower had pink slime buildup between the wall and the shower floor. The sheets were dingy, thin, and had holes in them, while the quilt was stained. With new linens and……

“Staff was not particularly helpful at check in or check out. Tub dripped all night. When I called down to let the desk know, no one answered.”

“1. We needed late check-in and Josh was responsive, the process was easy. 2. AC was very cold but adjustable, shower pressure decent, water heated quickly, firm pillows and mattress, and fridge was larger than most hotel fridges and included an ice tray sized freezer (could probably stand a defrost though). 3. Lastly we highly recommend walking across the street for breakfast and lunch at the Maywood Grill. And drive 15 min to the non-descript Pappy's Takeout. So many regulars streamed in to……

“The room was very clean, towels were very clean and extra soft. My only issue is the room has a stale smell to it. Stuffy if you will. Staff super nice especially the gentleman at the front desk.”

“Oven was broken so hot breakfast items limited, making it difficult for us as we eat a high protein diet. No microwave for instant oatmeal. Breakfast area very cramped with little space to sit. Treadmill was broken. Fitness room difficult to access and you have to enter pool area to access it which makes it difficult to enter even though it’s supposed to be available 24/7. Our bathroom toilet was unflushed upon entry into room.”

“The parking lot was nice and big, no problems getting into and leaving the property. I tried to check the tub drain and it came out of the tub drain mechanism. But I didn’t want a bath so I didn’t worry about it, and left the piece in the tub area. The WiFi worked well with no connection problems. My wife said the coffee at the front desk was very good. She absolutely needs her coffee in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.”
