Don't buy cigars here.

Posted Nov 30, 2017
Pros: Decorations for Christmas and the atmosphere in the loby was incredible. The breakfast buffet was world class and delicious. Staff was wonderful.
Cons: Did not have a menu available online or in the room for room service.
Location: As mentioned above.
What an amazing hotel. We loved every thing about it except one of their shops that had cigars for sell. For some reason the cost of a Cuban cigar is not disclosed to the customer at the Tobacco shop until you purchase said cigar. Folks, bring your own cigars to Manila. Montecristo cuban cigar p1900??? Only other problem I had was traffic at rush hour. We were three km away and had heavy items we to bring back. Good luck finding a cab, grab or uber. Getting back to the hotel took over two hours using a hotel car after one became available.

Lived up to the 'Peninsula' brand. Although the hotel is old compared to other hotels in the category around the area, this hotel continues to be excellent. It's iconic lobby is a must see especially during the Christmas season with all the festivities and happening.

Traditional Hotel with the best bed ever!

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: the bed - I never want to get out of it!
Cons: the rooms are dated - not bad condition - just dated
Location: Greenbelt shopping centre has great bars and restaurants and also good shopping. There is also a food market on Sunday mornings nearby - TRY IT!!
this hotel is impressive - even if the rooms are now a little dated compared to other hotels in this price bracket. the service is great and the restaurants and bars are fantastic.

Classical and modern merged into one

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Historical.
Cons: Restaurant foods and services.
This is my second year that I stayed at this hotel for my annual business trip. This place is nothing short of amazing. Live orchestra in the upper level in the afternoon over the weekend during my stay. The sounds reverberated from the wall and ceiling reminds me of a music hall. The staffs are friendly and polite from service counter to housekeeping to bell to security. My experience using the gym was fantastic, a towel and a water bottle at every treadmill. A personal trainer to help you with stretching. An attendant in the men dressing room making sure that you have everything you need. WOW. I then took a swim at their pool but I forgot to bring my swimming goggle so they loan me one to use. The only disappointment that I had was the food and service in the buffet breakfast restaurant. I prepaid so I felt obligated to eat there especially that I need my morning coffee. I had a friend over for breakfast one morning and she found a hair in the cold slaw dish which ruined her appetite. The selection and quality of hot food were second compared to my experience at the New World Makati hotel. The restaurant staffs need additional training. I had to wave down the waiter each time I want more coffee. As American, we drink a lot of coffee. They should have a small metal carafe with coffee at my table. Also, I dressed casually in short and tennis shoes and I noticed that I get less attention from the restaurant staffs. Don't they know that I am a paid customer?

The bed is too tough

I'm not comfortable with the bed, I think you need to replace it.
