We booked to stay in Albayt Resort but on arrival was sent to a subsidiary of theirs: Casares del Mar Luxury apartments. No complaints with our stay, just not clear on the booking reservation and thought it was worth a mention.

Apartments are well equipped and kept clean. One of the showers wasn't working properly but wasn't an issue as we had two bathrooms between us.

It was ok but quite expensive for weekend break.think 4pm check in time should be changed to at least 2pm. It would have been nice to have some tea or coffee as complementary too.

Good stay near to Estepona
Overall a great base for a self-catering holiday. The property was very stylishly decorated and kitchen had great utensils and appliances. Some bits looked a little tired and a few corners were a little dusty / musty but overall not an issue. The terraces were a great bonus and we would have utilised them if we’d stay longer. All in all we would happily stay again.

Not as planned.
Planned spa break. Spa was closed for maintenance and no imformation on website. Ground floor apartment was very cold and dark. Heating made no difference. Restaurant and bars closed too except for continental breakfast until 11.30. Not at all the birthday break planned. Staff were brilliant and very understanding. Upgraded to a great heated resort. Car essential

Great apartment average complex
Loved the apartment it was modern and very spacious with washing machine dishwasher 3 bathrooms. The breakfast was awful wish we went self cat only used twice as it was so bad. The spa was expensive so we didn't use it. The pools were clean but not nearly enough sun loungers the top pool by the bar had 4!!!! The middle pool had 12 - 3 families and that was the sun loungers gone people were forced to leave their stuff on the floor. You have to drink your alcoholic drinks in the bar area and to be honest the pools got a bit boring for the kids by the end of the week would be nice if just one had a slide or something. Best beach was la Rada and must visit Benahavis for dinner (booking advisable there was about 30 restaurants but all were very busy we loved molino de Conde)

Is not really a hotel that I was expecting. I booked a hotel room for 2 nights and I end up having a whole block of apartment all by my self!! It more like a resort that with many self catering apartments, may be good for golfing holiday for golfer!

Apartment in a large complex.
I chose this place as just really somewhere to stay to watch the Spanish Open at Valderrama. However the apartment complex has sparse facilities . It has a spa, and a driving range, so is more suited to groups of golfers I guess. Nice big spacious apartment , good kitchen facilities, underground parking . There were no local bars in the area at all within walking distance , a big minus, and 30 or so channels of Spanish TV, not one channel in English, not even Sky news. That would be quite a big disappointment for evening viewing , especially with lack of any nearby bars. Nice enough apartment , I just would not go back.

Albany Spa...ok and potential to be better.
This could be really good but the apartment had not been used for some time and felt in need of airing and smelled strongly of stale cigar smoke. No bars or restaurants available nearby as winter so be prepared to travel by car to nearest ones. Staff very helpful and dealt with problems immediately, spa and gym area ok but golf area under maintenance but useable for practice. Apartment poorly equipped with one really poor lounger,dust covered table and chairs outside and cracked crockery but could be really good if better equipped. Best to stay here in season.

Perfect Hide Away
We loved our stay at albayt hotel. The staff was very friendly. The apartments were perfect foe our needs. Having a washer and deyer in the room was the best. Each apartment was large enough for us to hold nigjtly meetings with a team of 13. Thank you foe your service.

Not a room but a whole apartment!!!
Our stay was great. We expected a room and we got an apartment with a dishwasher, laundry machine, a terrace, access to a pool, and a garage for our car! All of the above was standard so it did not cost me any money to have those extras. The staff spoke English well and they were service-oriented. The only improvement I'd like to see is that they clean the rooms more frequently.

Great staff and rooms but need a car
Stayed here Oct 3/4 2014. Staff was fantastic and rooms were great. However restaurant was only open for breakfast and lunch due to being off-season. Plus the resort is a 15 minute taxi ride out of town, which was a surprise, and not serviced by the local bus on a regular schedule. So ended up with both extra expense and wasted time. However, a great place to stay if you have a car.

Excellent apartment with good facilties
Booked into albayt resort and was expecting a one bedroom apartment and was pleasantly surprised to get a two bedroom. The apartment was very well equipped and we also had sky tv which had English channels. Small garden front and back with table and chairs in both areas. The apartment was very comfortable and great views both to the sea and the mountains. We went at a very quite time but the area was lovely but would recommend a car as not many eating places near. The staff at the main reception were helpful and polite. Great wifi reception which you do have to pay for but I have paid in other places and the reception was rubbish. I would say this was home from home and would recommend this to anyone wanting a quite restful stay.

Isolated and definitely need a car
Whilst the staff at this 'hotel' which really is a sporadic complex of blocks of apartments with a check in area, are really helpful, we were really disappointed on arrival here. With three children in tow we arrived with lots of luggage, golf clubs etc and were checked into the incorrect apartment some 10 minutes plus walk away uphill in 36 degrees. There are no phones in the apartment we discovered to call reception. The correct apartment 3 bedroomed was duly allocated 15 minutes walk from the reception area, and whilst of a good standard of internal facilities, smelt throughout our holiday of rotting cabbages externally on terraces and when the air conditioning was switched on. We were also infested with ants, which was dealt with by the staff very quickly. There was no satellite TV or tumble drier. The pool areas were tiny and there were not nearly enough beds or chairs around the pools. The golf course only had 3 holes-hardly a course? More a pitch and putt.Food and beverage facilities extremely limited.The spa was enjoyable though and as I say staff very helpful in trying to make our stay comfortable.

Appartment exceeded our expectations, the photographs didnt really do it justice, so no camera tricks as with some advertising shots. quiet and peacefull resort. Fully equipped kitchen,for self catering, cleanes 3 times a week. Wonderful.

En si no es un resort , son apartamentos en alquiler , el nuestro fue de dos habitaciones cocina baño y salon , eso si muy amplio y completo , con su jardin tv y amueblado y con toda clase de utensilios de cocina plancha etc ... ,precioso , la piscina es comunitaria de varios apartamentos, de hay lo de las 7 poscinas , por cada grupo de apartamentos tienes una piscina , los apartamentos se agrupan en sectores , con cada apartamento hay una plaza de garaje dentro del garaje comunitario , cerca de la urbanización no hay nada , es una urbanización alejada de pueblos , para ir a la playa hay que cojer el coche , en si está bien para pasar unos dias

Groot complex met ruime appartementen
Groot complex. Verdeeld over meerdere gebouwen met een centrale receptie. Is op een heuvel gebouwd. Daarom misschien niet geheel goed toegankelijk voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Had het idee dat verschillende appartementen in eigendom zijn en een deel wordt verhuurd. Wij hadden een appartement op de begane grond. Een eigen tuin van waaruit je één van de 7 zwembaden kon bereiken. Zwembad en tuinen zagen er beide perfect onderhouden uit.

Dejligt Resort - men afsides.
Yderst dejlig lejlighed. Nærmeste strand er ikke tæt på, men beliggende således, at man skal krydse en meget befærdet vej. Den nærmeste by er 5-6 km væk, kun et supermarked er tæt på. Ingen restauranter, kun resortets Auqa Bar som åbner kl. 20.00. Der er faciliteter som Spa/Fittness på stedet, men det må kun benyttes, hvis man er over 16 år. Vi havde valgt stedet, fordi vi alle i familien gerne ville have muligheden for at bruge disse faciliteter. På siden, hvor jeg bookede stod der intet om, dels at det kostede penge og dels, at der var en aldersgrænse. Disse ting var selvsagt mindre gode, men lejligheden, personalet og Spa oplevelsen var fantastisk.

Overall a great place. Friendly people. Nice apartment. Reasonably kitchen facilities. A nice bathroom. We Will come back sine time. Only negative things are the noise from the main road if you stay close to it as we did and a receptionist not speaking english when we needed it.
