Just left the hotel and I can tell you it was a really pleasent experience: the room was nice and neat and the spot very well located. The breakfast was tasty and fresh (awesome homemade muffins) and the receptionist service very professional and approachable. Thanks for the tips and for the nice stay! :)

This is an excellent place to stay in Malaga
I stayed in this hotel for 7 days and it was absolutely marvelous. The location is exceptional. It is close to the cathedral, plazas, restaurants, cafes, and museums. The staff was wonderfully friendly and accomodating. For example, I had to catch a flight at 6:30AM, and they packed me a breakfast and called me a taxi since I would miss the complimentary hotel breakfast that started at 8AM. The staff also is multilingual and is fluent with English. They gave me very helpful tips on things to do and places to eat. The room was very clean, spacious, and well kept. I enjoyed the simple breakfast which included four varieties of bread, muffins, cheese, cold cuts, a delicious tomato spread, yogurt, fruits, cereals, jams, coffee, 3 different juices, and milk. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Casa de las Mercedes. I would recommend this place to others, and I would stay here again.

True Spanish charm!
ADORED this hotel! The location could not have been more perfect. Just around the corner from many restaurants, shops and sights. Walkable to the beach. The property was so charming and the area was as well! Based on prior reviews, I expected things to be a bit old and outdated, but they were not at all- the furnishings are mostly new replicas. Our room was small but very comfortable. Would love to stay here again!

Very poor, disappointed ! did not stay !
My freind told me after his stay there . Very small room, air conditioner not working properly . Dirty linens on bed . Bathroom small old and drip drip all night . Your free breakfast is a piece of bread wt butter and old fruit . Never will I go near there !

The Room was great. The staff was superb. We arrived on new years eve, and they had a bottle of champagne and 12 grapes to celebrate the new year. We had an early morning flight, and they packed breakfast for us. Highly recommended.

Great location good big bed very small room good price but the room was very damp presumably after the winter floods. Paint peeling of the walls. The room is not a healthy place to stay.

Nice patio in close to city center
Very nice house, nicely decorated, ask for an upper room if you want an outside window. The staff was friendly, you can rent bikes and they serve breakfast.

Casa de la Mercedes was perfect for our visit to the theatre and there was a variety of museums within easy walking distance. Eating out in Plaza de la Merced was very relaxing without the bustle of the main square and port area.

Lovely Little Hotel
The hotel is very "spanish" we loved the charm, however, it was a nerve racking drive through the city of Malaga to try and find the hotel Parking is right around the corner in a Public venue (15 euros overnite). We strolled through the neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised to find it opened up to many streets with cafes and bars and shopping. Our room was small and you couldn't spend much time in it, but for the price it was great.

What a find!
Lovely little hotel full of charm and very Spanish. Spotlessly clean everywhere with a comfortable bed. Pretty courtyard to sit in and good breakfast room with fresh fruit and home made cakes for breakfast! Hotel owners were charming and very helpful and kindly posted my car key to me after I left it in the room.

Little Gem in Good Málaga Location
After a tour of Seville, Córdoba and Granada, we needed a hotel for a one night stay in Málaga. The Casa de las Mercedes proved to be the perfect place. Located in a narrow street in the old part of town just a few minutes' walk from the Picasso gallery, the cathedral and many other visitor attractions, the hotel is built in the classic Andalusian style around a small internal courtyard. The owner was helpful and friendly and did everything possible to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Our room was charming, if quite small, but offered a comfortable bed, TV, WiFi and air conditioning, with windows opening onto the courtyard. The continental breakfast was as good as many much higher priced hotels, although with less choice. Overall I thoroughly recommend the Casa de las Mercedes for a short stay.

Great location, in an atmospheric wee lane, just three minutes walk from Plaza de la Merced. Reception staff was friendly and helpful and smiley. Room was small, but had everything I needed (wifi, ac, tv, bright decent sized bathroom with shower, plus windows that opened). Everything was clean. The room was quiet. Breakfast buffet wasn't enormous, but was included in the very reasonable room rate. Would definitely stay again.

Not What We Expected
This hotel should be classified as a Bed and Breakfast. It is not a hotel...there are 7 really small rooms (even by European standards) in a quaint hacienda like setting. We had to climb over the cases no room for any thing.It is on a narrow alley like street so cabs can not enter. We had to drag the luggage in from the corner. Also, no elevators so we had to drag heavy cases up the stairs. The breakfast was minimal and many items were from the day before...not always the freshest. The heater did not work properly either and it happened to be very cold during our stay. The bed sheets were literally tissue paper thin. Never saw any like them anywhere in the world. Time for the owner to buy a few new sheets. We were there with 2 others couples (3 rooms total) and we all had problems. We travel often and are no strangers to hotels. There is much better value for the price in Malaga.

Superb personal och bra läge
Superb service utöver det vanliga. Mysig byggnad med liten innergård och gamla anor. Mycket charmigt med högt i tak och spansk känsla. Rummen är ganska små men har allt som behövs för en kortare vistelse. Nära till centrum och bra utbud av sevärdheter och restauranger mm. Gångavstånd till det mesta. Lugn och tyst omgivning då det ligger på en sidogata. De enda två minus var något hård säng och ganska lyhört mellan rum och korridor. Men det väger upp med fantastisk personal och läge. Då vi skulle upp supertidigt (04.30) för vår hemresa hade personalen gjort i ordning varsitt paket med frukost till oss kvällen innan, en fantastisk fin gest. Rekommenderas varmt!

Mitten im Zentrum Malagas gelegenes Hotel. Etwas schwierig zu finden. Doch durch die zentrale Lage, fast alle Sehenswürdigkeit von Malaga sind fußläufig zu erreichen, wird dieses kleine Manko mehr als ausgeglichen. Ein kleines, ruhiges und und sauberes Haus. Das Zimmer zwar klein, aber ausgestattet mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Das Frühstück ließ ebenfalls keine Wünsche offen. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der absolut freundliche und hilfsbereite Eigentümer des Hotels, welcher den Gästen in fast jeder Situation behilflich ist.

Empfehlenswertes Stadthotel
Wir haben das Hotel mit unseren erwachsenen Zwillingen für eine Städtetour genutzt. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und die Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie der Hafen sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und der Service zuvorkommend. Wir erhielten bei der Anreise viele Tipps. Unsere Familiensuite war sehr geräumig und sauber, die Betten bequem. Einzig die Tapete löst sich teilweise von der Wand, was unserem Wohlfühl-Gefühl jedoch keinen Abbruch tat. In der Nähe befindet sich ein Parkhaus. Den Preis empfanden wir als hoch, was jedoch in den Stadtzentren in Andalusien üblich erscheint. Wir würden dieses Hotel und diese Familiensuite jederzeit wieder buchen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

familiär und angenehm in der Altstadt Malaga
Wir kamen abends am Flughafen an und wollten am kommenden Tag gen Osten weiter. Daher haben wir ein Hotel gesucht, wo wir eine Nacht bleiben und ein wenig die Altstadt von Malaga entdecken konnten. Wir waren eine Nacht in dem Hotel. Wir hatten das Familienzimmer mit zwei Kindern gebucht. Sehr angenehme Menschen, familiär, freundlich, sehr ruhig gelegen, da in einer Gasse gelegen, in der keine Autos fahren dürfen. Knapp 100€ für eine Nacht mit Frühstück ist fair. Geparkt haben wir in einem Parkhaus um die Ecke - ca. 200m entfernt für 18€ pro 24h. Wir haben sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten "um die Ecke" entdecken können. Alles in Laufweite, und abends kann man schön in der lebendigen Altstadt flanieren gehen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben lediglich eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Der Empfang war herzlich und äusserst hilfsbereit. Da wir am darauffolgenden Tag früh weiters mussten, erhielten wir ein extra für uns zubereitetes Frühstück zum Mittnehmen.
