Stylish hotel right downtown

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: We loved the location - right in the center of everything. We liked the breakfast too. The modern style is cool, built within a traditional building.
Cons: The modernist style decor is getting a bit worn in places. Note that because it's in a pedestrian-only area, it's quite challenging to arrive by car.
We really liked the style of Petit Palace Malaga, and their staff were very friendly and helpful. They loan bikes to guests for free, which we used to tour the shoreline and beach paths.

Welcoming hotel but noisy at night.

Posted Apr 1, 2017
Pros: Friendly, welcoming staff. Very clean.
Cons: It would have been nice to come in and relax in a lounge area but there was nowhere other than your room.
Location: In the heart of the shopping/bar/restaurant area. Beware, lots of beggars who approach you as you eat. Ten minute lovely walk to a beautiful marina.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Bedroom and public areas were spotless. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Day one we were given no replenishment of coffee and had to go and ask for some. Day two we got coffee but there was no sugar and day three we had no milk - not the greatest of problems but inconvenient and slightly irritating when we had been out and about for most of the day and had to go in search of someone to help. Location was in the heart of the shopping/bar/restaurant area which was great and a ten minute walk to a beautiful marina area. However it was very noisy throughout the night which was unavoidable as the workers spent what seemed like hours dragging tables and chairs, pulling shutters down and laughing, shouting and talking. After that settled down (about 3 a.m), the street cleaners started up the floor machines which beeped until about 5 a.m. Breakfast was fine. There was plenty of choice to suit all tastes.

Great hotel to explore Malaga

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Pros: very comfortable beds in stylish rooms with all the facilities you could ask for. Breakfast was a real highlight.
Cons: The hotel doesn't have a bar. Although there are countless bars nearby, it is always nice to be able to have a drink and meet friends in a hotel bar.
Location: Located in the old town and just minutes from the cathedral, squares and harbour of Malaga.
Being welcomed by very friendly staff is a great start to a stay. The room was generous and stylish with a wonderful bed a view across the roof tops to the cathedral. We loved the breakfast - a real highlight of our stay.

Convenient friendly hotel

Posted Feb 16, 2017 on Hotels
First class B & B with excellent buffet breakfast and helpful staff. Situated in the heart of the Old Town Restaurant and Bar area it can be noisy at night. Absence of a Lounge or a Hotel bar was surprising but with so many welcoming venues nearby they were not particularly missed. Would certainly come again.

I would stay at this hotel again.

Posted Feb 15, 2017 on Hotels
Tea,coffee bathroom shampoo etc not replaced when necessary. Accessibility to the bath/shower was a tight squeeze. And I didn't like the gap in the bathroom door. However the room was pleasantly decorated, and the staff were very courteous. The Hotels location was fabulous, and overall it is worth a 4* rating, and I would return and recommend it.

Nice hotel in centre of Malaga

Posted Feb 12, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed just for one night before catching a flight back home after traveling through Andalusia. The hotel has a great location and was very clean and comfortable. We also thought the staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. Only one negative: there was a lot of noise on the street at night. But maybe that is less of a problem in other rooms.

Location Location location

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: I loved the location which is central and within minutes of shops and brilliant bars and restaurants. Fabulous.
Cons: I thought the rooms were a little tired and the hotel is possibly due an upgrade.
Location: Handy for airport bus. You can see the lights of Larios Street a mile away when you arrive. Really handy for old moorish castle and cathedral.
We initially had booked a dreadful room which looked onto a walled area where all the fans vented out chip fat etc. It was tiny which was ok with us for 2 nights in central Malaga but the heat was so awful we had no sleep. When we opened the window all we could smell was cooking. I complained and was eventually allocated an upgrade to an internal courtyard room which was brilliant. We didn't have to pay for the upgrade and the staff were very pleasant. My advice would be don't book the cheaper rooms unless you like to lie and cook.

Petit Palace - what a gem

Posted Jan 30, 2017 on Hotels
This is my 3 rd in Malaga city centre and WOW what a hotel and location. The hotel is situated just off the Plaza however was very quiet. The hotel is very modern and the rooms extremely spacious and well maintained. We advised the hotel prior to arrival that the visit was for a friends birthday. They put balloons, cake, champagne and a lovely message in the room for no charge. We upgraded to pay for breakfast when we arrived which was well worth the money. From a good powerful hairdryer, gorgeous toiletries, free wifi, use of I pads to free use of hotels bikes - they really have everything. I was the only member of the party who had visited Malaga before. The other 4 are eager to return with their partners and would not choose anywhere other than this hotel for their visit. Petit Palace - you have it all. Keep up the excellent standards.
