Good Boutique hotel right in centre of town

Posted Jan 15, 2018
Pros: Close to everywhere
Cons: It could do with a bar
Location: Very central, and close to the sea as well, just right
Second time we have been here, so convenient right in the centre of Malaga, near shops, restaurants and the sea, perfect. Very modern hotel and the superior room we had was a good size and overlooked Malaga Cathedral, wonderful. Will stay again.

Modern hotel in city centre close to beach

Posted Dec 5, 2017
Pros: Reception were very friendly and helpful, with an excellent level of English. They have a pair of bikes you can borrow.
Cons: Our jacuzzi didn't work. We couldn't understand how to get the air con to work-- it seemed to be on a timer.
Location: Great restaurants and beaches, Picasso museum, castle on a hill. If you have a car, the botanical garden and the beach at Benidorm are worth a trip
This is a beautiful hotel, one block away from the main pedestrian shopping street. The staff are very friendly and helpful, coffee and biscuits available in reception at all times, the room was clean and spacious and kinda quirky. The atmosphere in Malaga is really fun, lots of street entertainment and music at night-- this meant there was quite a bit of noise til about 3 AM. They turn the Christmas lights on the last week of November so we missed it but the structure for the lights looked like it would be stunning and we'd like to go back just to see that. We didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast buffet looked very appealing and varied. We ate at El Pimpi-- an experience!-- and a nice little paella restaurant on a side street. The harbour and beach are a 15-20 minute walk and the beach is lovely!

Great location, very good service and good choice

In a quiet street just off Latinos, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Easy walk to the waterfront where more bars and restaurants are available. Staff were very good and helpful.

Great location but everything else average

Posted Nov 16, 2017 on Hotels
We checked into our room and were greeted by 3 twin beds and bunk beds. Was a bit overwhelming and seemed like a waste of space considering we were two people. Difficult to get ready or find anything for lack of lighting in the room. Only way to get light was to open windows which resulted in seeing our close-by neighbors. Location was wonderful, walkable to everything. Hotels.com had a complimentary bottle of wine on booking. The front desk couldn't find it in our booking. The second night I asked somebody else and they brought us a undrinkable sweet wine, just a bit misleading in booking.

Location very near to Cathedral and right in the centre of Malaga. Very convenient for shops and restaurants. Beautiful view of cathedral. Better lighting needed near lifts and hotel rooms.

Disappointed

Posted Oct 21, 2017 on Hotels
Great place but room let it down. For a 272euro a night you expect a decent room.On this visit we got a family room;this was small and cramped with no view.Went for a spa bath and had to leave the room because of the smell eminating from the bath water.Maintenance arrived and told me to empty the bath water and refill.I pointed to the scum line caused by the dirty water and was told to simply clean it.I then pointed out that the bath was leaking. He shoved a towel on the floor and arrived back with some fresh towels. It also took 40mins for the maintenance man to arrive. Not sure whose fault that was but little or no concern from reception. Needless to say no bath for anyone as we could have slipped on the wet marble floors and smell was terrible and after paying that money i am cleaning nothing in my room. They had a repeat visit from us but i will try a different hotel the next time.

Dear DAvid, Thank you for taking the time to share your feed back. First of all i would like to offer you my deepest apologizes for the bath incidence . We do have protocols that must be followed by front desk staff and by maintenance staff , but i see by your comments both of them failed on this time. Every day we face challences and comments like yours, are the key to get the focus on the failed task and learn from them and solve them out definetily Wish to be trusted by you again, i will be sure we will do in our best to offer you the unforgetable Petit Palace Experience you should have had on this ocasion . kindest regards Teresa T General Manager
