Great quiet location

Pros: Great place to relax.
Cons: The water in the shower smelt like sulfur and the shower could have been nicer and with a curtain.
Location: Close to all the places to eat on the island
Located on the tip of the island it's a great place to see the sunset. The rooms are decorated very nicely and the grounds are well kept. The beach is a little rocky but the water is crystal clear.

Very Peaceful Place to Stay

Pros: Having a private beach - you can enjoy snorkeling!
Location: Even if you are not an active diver, you can enjoy snorkeling in the hotel's private beach, which is extremely quiet, peaceful and comfort.
I spent there for 9 days and it turned out that it was one of the most peaceful and quiet holidays in my life! It is an easy walking-distance to the small village centre where you can find local shops and places to eat in a Filipino way.

Beautiful beachfront bungalows

Fabulous location with their own beach. wonderful staff, crystal clear water, peace and quiet. Worth paying for the deluxe beachfront bungalows if you want to hang around and relax. If you're mainly there for diving, all accommodation is nice.

Beautiful hotel

Pros: Location, nice room. great setting
Cons: The on going renovations was loud but I was not in the room most of the day.
Location: Thresher shark diving and sitting on the beach
Private beach with beautiful blue water, close to dive shop that I was diving from and a Angelino's (best place to eat on the island). The room had a partial sea view. The fan and AC helped cope with mid day heat.

Construction work behind the cottage

Pros: -Near to beautiful beaches and lots of nice restaurants.
Cons: -Customers should not be put in cottages next to construction sites.
Location: Nearby: Beaches, restaurants, scuba diving, snorkeling, massages.
Malapascua Island is a beautiful island and I imagine that for most of Tepanee Beach Resort's customers they have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately I was placed in an aircon cottage directly in front of a construction site. The noise began around 8AM almost every morning and lasted for most of the day. The relaxing, peaceful experience I had hoped for did not come to fruition. The island is well-worth a visit; it has the most beautiful beaches I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Tepanee Beach Resort was the only disappointment.

Dear Sergio, thank you very much for your comments. We are working on our steps (the new stair is already done at our entrance lobby). About water pressure, we have two desalination machines with pressure tanks, so mostly the pressure of the water is very good. Sometimes, when we accommodate big groups, all our guests are using the shower at the same time in many rooms, and this can give a little lower pressure expecially in the high floors. We do apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused to you and we will improve our water system as best as possible to avoid this in the future. Thanks and regards.

Nice resort, but no sea view

4 out of 5
Posted Feb 4, 2012
Resort is not on the main beach, but has it's own small private beach. Which is good as basically only guests are walking inside resort area, but no street vendors or other people. Upon arrival, finding the hotel is easy, it's just 10 mins walking from where boats arrive. Room is quite comfortable, nicely designed, but in the bathroom there is only soap, no shampoo or toothpaste, have to bring your own. Also no TV in the room, but it's totally not a problem for a beach resort. No possibility to book sea view rooms, but garden view is also pretty nice and relaxing. Hotel doesn't provide any dining, next to it there is Italian-owned restaurant, where food is good, but expensive, so it might be good idea to walk around the i9sland and find some cheaper food. Internet is a little slow, but I think it is due to remoteness of Malapascua. Staff is nice and friendly, you can clearly see that it's European-trained. Water on the beach is crystally clear, you can see small stones which are 1,5 m deep!
