Not what was advertised

Pros: I would never stay at this resort again.
We wanted a nice, relaxing, quick getaway to the coast from Nairobi so decided on Malindi. The hotel staff was not helpful, you had to ask 3 different people in order to get help. There is no service on drinks at the beach or pool area so you must walk to the lobby if you want an alcoholic beverage. They only have Tusker on tap and no bottles of beer plus only a red wine and one white wine to choose from. The bartender would set your drink on the opposite counter instead of actually serving you. There was no good customer service at this hotel. On the beach you have people walking around that work for the hotel trying to get you to play volleyball or go for a walk on the beach. After telling the first person no thank you and then putting my headphones back in I had to deal with 4 others asking the same questions. There was no relaxing as some of these boys would come and just sit on my chair and want to talk about how beautiful I am (which I know they say to everyone) and make themselves at home when all I wanted to do was relax. Being at a resort is supposed to get you away from the numerous "beach boys" trying to sell you things but instead you have the annoying workers bothering you. The beach bar does not have anything in stock that you request so you end up walking to the lobby bar anyway. There is ONLY internet in the lobby and when they say only in the lobby that is not an exaggeration. There are no tv's in the rooms and only ONE in the lobby area.
