The bathroom doors do have locks on them, they are the little round knobs that you turn (on top of the round door handle).Granted, they can be opened from the outside with the right device (for health & safety reasons, in the case of a medical emergency, etc) but they should work. If they don't work, they need reporting to our Reception so that the Maintenance Team can check them. We are sorry if the one in your apartment did not work. As you have not let your name or your booking code, I cannot see which apartment you stayed in. If you want to tell us by e-mail, please do. Thank you. Alcudia is very focused towards the British clientèle, it always has been. Like Ca'n Picafort (a resort near to us) is focused towards the German & Austrian market. As a hotelier, we cannot control the type of clients that book our accommodation, I am sorry. We welcome all guests, all nationalities, all ages!. And we will try our very best to offer good service to all, within our ability and our official tourism category. We are located 900 meters from the beach, and we have a free courtesy mini bus that goes to the beach 3 times in the morning, at 10.30, 11.00 and 11.30. You just have to let Reception know about 5 minutes in advance. If you require the bus in the afternoon, it comes back at 16.00 hrs (you also need to let us know). It is true that none of the bathrooms in the studio or one bedroom apartments have windows, and that there are only ventilation "gaps" on the ceiling. I personally also have this problem at home (my bathroom does not have a window), and on hot and humid days, I notice a bit of a drain odor. In any case, we can always send a maid to the apartments to spray air-freshener. Thank you very much for the comments about the swimming-pool and especially about the kid's entertainment. It is true that we are located at the end of a very busy street (Avenida Pedro Mas y Reus), which has been well-known for many years as being full or beach-type-shops, bars, restaurants and many hotels + apartments. However, we are close enough by taxi or bus (or by car!) to be able to go to Alcudia Town and Alcudia Harbour in between 10 and 15 minutes. I am sorry to hear that you thought that the evening entertainment was poor, we have 4 very hard-working entertainers and we also have various professional shows on every week. The building of Apartamentos Siesta 1 only has 307 apartments. Out of which, 166 apartments have the tourism licence and are rented out to holiday makers via online travel agents such as Expedia, and also traditional tour operators. We only have 1 large combined adults and children's swimming-pool, plus the Splash Pool. The other 2 pools belong to Siesta 2 and Siesta 3, and just the same as their guests cannot use our facilities, our guests cannot use theirs.
